Great price shame it's the glass bowl I need to buy one as a gift but I find the metal bowl heavy the glass probably weighs a ton. Plus im scared they'll drop it on the tiles and smash it

Mrs has the Glass one and yes its bloody heavy, fortunately not dropped it and smashed it though. On the plus side she likes the fact she can see the bottom and sides of the mixture not just the top. And she can leave it running and get on with other stuff, because she can easily glance over to see how its doing.

Pros and cons I guess. I use the flexi beater mainly which scrapes the sides and bottom as it mixes, would highly recommend getting that attachment if your Mrs doesn't already have it.

Pretty sure she has that one.

She has debated getting the steel bowl as well. That way she can use the lighter bowl when she's not bothered about seeing the mixture. And also wouldn't need to wash up with multiple mix recipes. But I think it always tended to be the Glass bowl on offer, (presumably because the steel bowl package used to be more common so not many single steel bowls sold out there). And now she's used to it so not bothered.
