Better off with a bigger model like this one for £229 Kenwood Major

Agree with this, my wife has just got a Major and says it is a lot better than her old mixer which is a Kenwood Patissier, similar to the one in the deal.

I've got the kmix and it's very good and prefect for my needs, I certainly don't need a bigger one. if you're baking huge amounts then yes you'd need a bigger one but this is fine for most people and daily use. heat added good price

huh I pressed hot and instead it went cold! no idea what happened there.

Others voted it cold.

£180 with JN34 might warm it up a little

John lewis has the Kenwood KM280 Prospero Stand Mixer, White 900wt etc at £99.95

Just bought one.

I have a Kmix in bright blue, brilliant machine and copes great with everything.

I bake 'a lot' and find this more than meets my baking needs

I paid £280 for mine,this is a great price

Can this be used to knead dough for chappatis??

It has a dough hook which I use for bread and it copes fine.

Just read the description again and it also has the free extra flexible beater which is fantastic for icing,no more having to scrape mixture from the sides of the bowl.

Also has a 5 year guarantee too

Thank you - just ordered using code.
Was looking out for a stand mixer as a Christmas present ..... to myself!!
Don't forget Quidco - 3%.

Oh no. ! Now I don't know whether to get this or the Artisan kitchenaid ? Help !!!!

Same dilemma as me, think the artisan is worth holding out for.

Nice deal - good looking too. I just bought the Kenwood Titanium KMC010 with blender jug, meat grinder and juicer for £328 delivered which thought was pretty good too.

White one and Yellow one are also the same price now.

KitchenAid every time.

I've had mine 3 years and it is so much better than the KMiX I bought for my mum last Christmas.

See above!

My wife runs a home-based cake-making business and has this mixer. She has nothing but great things to say about it. Plenty big enough for multi-tiered large wedding cakes.

In what way is it better please?

I prefer the weight, the controls, the beaters, the aesthetics. There are also alot more attachments available and I just never feel like 'full speed' is fast enough on the KMix.

I am so angry! They have just sent an order status update - "unable to fulfil"...end of. Grrr

This Kmix is one of the best on the market second only to Kitchenaid. I have one and it is really heavy duty and this price is a steal

Try the yellow or white ones as they are now on offer for the same price

Just ordered a yellow one as a birthday treat for myself.......fingers crossed

Thanks OP

yep does chappati dough I've been using it takes a few goes to get it right though so don't despair if you can't get it right first time. just use the dough hook and I found you need to do a final knead by hand but otherwise it's quite good. I've got eczema on my hands so bought for this specific reason and I bake a lot!

I'd be interested to know in which ways the KitchenAid is better than the kMix, because I have been looking at stand mixers.

Which? magazine rated the kMix higher than the KitchenAid. Also their reader reviewers liked the appearance of the KitchenAid but a high proportion reported reliability problems.

Just bought one for my wife's bday and xmas present. Thanks for sharing!

I do chappati flour when I get the use of one. If I'm doing any breads and using 300g of flour or less then I use the K beater because the dough mostly just climbs the hook unless you put it on mental fast so the dough whips out to the side and you get a bit of cow and calf going.

feedingboys.co.uk/201…id/ I've just been looking for KMix vs KitchenAid for fun and people seem to love the Kmix once they've used it. Motor is over 65% stronger than the KitchenAid, 500 as opposed to 300watts if that's of interest to you. And there's a gear in the KitchenAid that is prone to breaking by the looks of things.

I had had my heart set on a kitchenaid for ages as always loved the look of them.

When finally going to buy one I googled and researched for a good couple of weeks and found majority of the reviews in favour of the kmix. The motor in the kmix is more powerful than the kitchen aid, very important if mixing large quantities.

The kmix has a 5 year guarantee(not sure what kitchen aid has) and of course the price is cheaper for the kmix. I bit the bullet and bought a lovely bright blue one. Glad I did as its really great and to be fair unless the kitchenaid does something absolutely super duper like clean the dishes as well then I don't think think I'm missing out!!
