ordered.

hot, handy for making tea or coffee.

Had three philips similar to this, all died after a short period. Hopefully this one is better. I need brushed stainless, black trim & blue lights to match rest of kitchen stuff, cos I'm lame. (_;)

this fits the bill

cheers

Reserved thanks....just need a toaster now

dont get your hopes up too much. I bought one of these (£30 4 months ago) blue light broke after a week, exchanged it, blue light went again after a month.:(

£54.99 original price for this LMAO - ARGOS reductions are often farcical

this has been at this price for a while now. I got mine about 8 weeks ago.

As to blue light, only the boil switch lights up blue which is very dim. My last kettle, the water window lit up blue, which you could see so easily. It is very hard to visually confirm whether this kettle is on.....

Other than that, its been great!

Good price for a good brand kettle. As ninjin states - only the boil switch illuminates a dim blue on this kettle.

Been this price for a few days now.

I picked one of these up a few days ago, Fearing the worst, I bit the bullet and bought the 3 year cover too.. It's not a bad price for a decent kettle.. could be cheaper though.. The original price has definitely been marked up! No way this is a £55 kettle! All said and done, it's worth a punt at £20! Thanks OP.

* Please note item 4236980 has previously been on sale at £20.99.

not online but plenty at Asda MK store

You must have to much money if you payed a extra 3 years cover for a £20 kettle.

Strange thing is, if you go to the Kenwood website

kenwoodworld.com/uk/…es/

This kettle isn't shown, so I would guess it is either obsolete or another 'exclusive' product, so you cannot compare the price with other retailers.

Also at the bottom of the description it states 'You may receive a substitute of similar specification, but which is cosmetically different.'

How does a Kettle have a £54 price tag in the first place , does it make the Tea/Coffee as well ??

Also from Argos
£16.99 no window http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/58-4236935MSA74UC726454M.jpg

OP hot thanks

bought this kettle months ago - it was £19.99 then at several stores and have seen it at that price many times since - think £19.99 is going price for it - it works fine, but nothing special .... it's a kettle it heats water and it has a blue switch and a window ! what more can I say!

out of stock at moment in local stores ad also for home delivery.

I got this from Argos about three weeks ago. So far so good. I too was offered an extended warranty. Even the sales assistant could see how ridiculous this was on a £20 item. But she still went on to list several other irritating offers.

Thanks - reserved.

A few years ago I went to Argos to buy a cheap and cheerful answerphone for my mate which cost less than a tenner. As I was about to hand over the money, he said to me,

"Would you like to have to have that on insurance?"

I looked at him for a second, pulled an eye rolling face like Mrs Slocombe from Are You Being Served, sighed and said,

"So, if someone broke into my house and stole just that, would you replace it?"

He had the grace to hold down his head in a bid to hide his titters.
When he brought his head up, he took a deep breath and said,

"Don't worry about it madam." and proceeded to take my money.

Blooming cheek!

Good thing it doesn't have a USB socket on it, or they'd have been trying to flog a £20 USB lead to go with it.

Thanks Op. Just reserved one for collection.

I bought this for about £2 more just before Xmas. So far so good. Boils quicker than my last kettle so no complaints except it's very noisy! Sounds like a plane taking off.

I was given a DeLonghi kettle recently, which is also very noisy. It could be related to it being higher power.

have one of these and got to say its great, going strong after nearly a year, and still looks new.
