Annoyingly, I bought it from them for £6.94 at the beginning of November and haven't even started it yet...

I feel your pain. Excellent price though! Heat added!
I've had too many negative customer service experiences with them, they were making claims on behalf of paypal that weren't true so i had to cancel the business I had with them, paypal were great at sorting it out, but a horrible experience trying to use their message center when they misinformed me and then deleted the messages to pretend it never happened, was pretty disgusted by the whole experience, would really recommend avoiding.
When is this coming to UK consoles?

Never played this. Is it worth a try if you dont have time to sink

No, it requires something of a time commitment to learn it and really get anything out of it.

Only for the interplanetary/career bits, just building ludicrous rockets in sandbox mode is plenty of fun and requires no more time than any other building game (the odd half an hour).

True, but I dont know how much somebody will get out of just making crazy rockets, especially without the root knowledge that you get playing the 'proper' game about what does what and why and everything.

I had plenty of fun in version 0.16 before they added planets beyond Minmus and any sort of career mode.
