This is an 11.11 price

Seems like an interesting product - a USB powered padlock (6 month standby, low power LED) which works based on fingerprint.

You can record up to 10 fingerprints, and set 2 admins - details on the product page for how to do that.

What could possibly go wrong???

About as secure as Katy Prices knickers
I fear a nice ribbon tied in a bow would be about as secure.

Is there a backup key?
so you have to unlocked it and take inside to charge up

Obviously, it wont stop a burglar or thief, but i suppose if you just wanted to stop prying eyes getting into a drawer than it would do the job, with the convenience of not having to have a key... i Suppose.

I'm sure a couple of minutes with a powerbank would be more than enough

For that sort of use I can see it as possibly worthwhile. A bit like spud-openable digital safes. OK for putting things out of the reach of nosey people, but not to keep you life savings in. If it reported failed opening attempts it might actually be quite useful.

Yes, and stored the finger prints of the person attempting to open it too .
I have been looking at something like this to stop the garden gate being opened without reason, the dogs have access to a pet door during the day and I'm worried that the window cleaner / courier will leave the gate open and the dogs escape (fairly busy road outside).
This would take away the worry for me and allow access to specific people (a door closer would be ideal with this)
Mums could always get a copy of your fingerprint from anywhere to get at your secret stash.
