These are great work benches. I have several of these type. McAllister and Forge Steel.

The Keter are the originals I think. They are a couple of quid cheaper than the Screwfix ones.
How do you go about getting a Costco membership?
These are great. I have had one for about 5 years now.

I use these for DIY and its the first item i get out. I do store the vice grips separately, as the muck/sawdust gets trapped. Also they fall out of the storage places which becomes annoying.

I have also rinsed with a hose a few times with no ill effects.
Brilliant work bench, don't worry about price, my brother in law has had one for over 10 years now he's a bedroom fitter and has slammed the carp out of it, it's still going strong.

Where did you buy yours from? I'm looking for something like this for my father but I'm not a Costco member

What's the difference between those and the one you bought?

Nothing. Just the colour... they seem to all come out of the same factory with different brands on them.

Ah right, cheers. I'll have a look
Do you think this would be OK to put a table saw on safely?

Weight-wise, yes. It can hold upto 450kg, but you would probably have to modify the table saw so that you can clamp it securely to the work bench.

You could bolt some corner angle brackets to the outside bottom of the saw and use quick clamps to hold it tight to the table perhaps.

That's good advice, thanks very much. I got the Lidl one recently but its the model without a base. I used a workmate to mount it which was OK but I wasn't really happy it was large / sturdy enough.
I have seen these at their store in Hertfordshire for a few weeks. Seems good value and sturdy.
