This looks pretty cool, you can select the temperature you want the water heated to: 100oC(boiling), 80oC(for herbal tea?), 60oC or 40oC

Indeed, we'll all be able to boil the water properly to see if it actually makes any difference to tea!

Morphy Richards have done a temp control kettle - it helps as it not only saves electricity but also gives you the right temp for the drink. Eg Coffee and herbal tea is to be made at a lower temp than normal tea (in this case 80 degrees.....and it will save around 33% electricity allegedly too). Good price with a 3 year warrenty! Hot - but not too hot!!!
Got one of these years ago, different design then, and it worked brilliantly for making coffee but unfortunately it started **** water out of the joints.

or just use a normal kettle and switch off when it sounds like it is about to boil. My kettle takes 30 seconds to boil water for a mug of coffee so its a better way to save forking out £24.99

If you cant go 20 secs without being distracted, then there really is no hope for you!
I bought 2 of the silver crest kettles both stopped working with in 3 months would not recomend
