So no Doubt we'll be seeing these on Ebay at some point for roughly £30 again because some selfish D**kheads want to make a profit from charity goods

probably the same kind of people trying to sell iPhone X's for >£1500

unexcusable for charity items, though IMO

FYI they are also doing shoping bags this Sunday aldi.co.uk/kev…600

Aldi said on their facebook page that they will available to buy online and limited to 3 of each toy per customer

That has really made me chuckle.

Too early for crackers isn't it?

No doubt these will disappear as quickly as last years did.

Shame, as these are for charity, so you'd assume it would make sense to make as many as you could, therefore the charity benefits from the sales.

Yet Aldi decide to make these limited editions, in very small quantities, so the main people who benefit, are those who get them first and then hawk them on eBay for inflated prices.

Anyway, rant over... As You Were.

Also, great advert.

cold choking hazard for children

Thanks op. Couldn't see them on the website though?

They should be available for pre-order on Sunday the 19th. I put the post up so people would be aware in advance of this date as they will sell out quickly.

The charity still benefits. If it sells out they get all the money they were going to. If people then sell on ebay to make money then that's just entrepreneurism.

If it wasn't for the ebay sellers then likely these would sit on the shelf at aldi and the charity would not get the money.

Those buying for ebay risk it being a flop. So good luck to them.

Seems it is limited per person this time round so may not do as well as scalpers cant buy the entire stock in one go.

Remember seeing two women fight over the last two of these in my local last year. Why Aldi only does these in limited runs baffles me!

yeah but who is buying them off ebay? It's a plush toy and not exactly at the top of anybodys Christmas list. You can complain about scalping but it only works when people actually want the product. Who's gonna buy this for £30?

What if they set the charitable donation thingy to 10% per sale. Then they would be contributing more than the the cost of the original toy? And far more than Aldi per unit.

Aldi likely giving 10-20% of £3 (30-60p)?

Will order then sell on eBay lol

I was desperate for a Kevin the carrot last year, for my unborn baby. My brother paid a fortune for one from ebay. He is now 10 months old and it's one of his favourite toys Hope I can get him a Katie the carrot this year, without paying a fortune!

Aldi donates 100% to charity

Aldi donates 100% to charity

its 100% of profits not the sales, so will likely be in the region spinks indicated.

Read carefully - 100% of profit. Profit is after costs have been taken away. Typical profit margins are 10% - 20% therefore 30p - 60p is accurate.

Also if people really cared about donating to charity (rather than getting something in return) they could donate directly to charity with gift aid so that the charity can get a tax rebate. Equivalent to a 24p - 40p direct donation + gift aid. Just saying.

Each store are getting about 200 of each and should be setting limits.

Does anybody know what time the carrots will be available on line on the 19th November?

If you are using the Aldi App, they make the deals available very early in the morning, so that would be your best chance of getting one. If you subscribe to this thread then someone is bound to be up early and will hopefully post here to say they are live.

How many people's secret santa prezzy is going to be a carrot in a bit of black felt tip? Merry Xmas. 🎅

When I click on the link it only takes you to the Aldi website that's it. I can't find how to get a Kevin the carrot !
