I really could do with a new keyboard...

nice find

i have one of these for my htpc and the range is amazing:thumbsup:

yep, i have had one for nearly a year and it's brilliant

(and looks very stylish in the loung for a media center setup)

Because this uses radio - it's a real security risk. It's worth thinking about what you are typing as effectively you are broadcasting it in your local area for anyone to hear.

I too use one of these for my htpc and it works very well. Excellent piece of kit,

I use one of these with my PS3 and 360, and it works flawlessly with both

That's a bit extreme? :w00t:

would this send a signal through a wall and still be reliable?

Nice one edi! Had only just ordered this keyboard this morning from Ebuyer for higher price - needless to say I have now cancelled my order with Ebuyer, and am off to Amazon

Cheers!

cool post , thanks

how do this work alsong side a console? or is it a modded one

Anyone know if this would be any good for a PS3?

mac compatible?

Appears so, check post #8 , regarding PS3

Nice find!

Was looking at one of these on ebay for about £40. Only problem is that the keyboard is so compact. No number pad and the home, end etc keys are not in their own block. I have a similar keyboard and I keep on nearly throwing it across the room as everytime I go to press delete I end up pressing home, and equals etc!

I have one and it works fine with my PS3.

No, not really. If the data is unencrypted between the keyboard and the receiver, and if someone has a relevant device to 'sniff' the air then it could be possible that someone could monitor the data transmitted. Though it says that the max distance it works is 10 metres, perhaps it'd interfere with next door's 2.4ghz transmissions? The possibility for a security risk, however, is remote. It depends if the data transmitted is even legible (say, ascii codes) and/or can be 'decoded'.

What's a greater chance for a reason not to buy this device is that it works on the 2.4ghz band. So it may conflict with your WiFi devices (unless you're using the 5ghz band), your mobile phone, anything bluetooth, a wireless headphone set and a slim chance - your microwave oven and car alarm (depending on signal propogation and power used for it).

If the keyboard did conflict with any of these devices you'd suffer lower signal quality/strength overall and possible issues with typing.

oohah

mac compatible?

Supposidly ... ordering one myself for a mac mini

Works great with PS3 as i said earlier

You can use the arrow keys or touchpad to navigate the XMB, PS Store and Internet Browser. Pretty much the only thing you cant do is the zoom (L3) function in the browser, but who knows in future they may build-in a keypress to the PS3 firmware which allows this

It also works great in HOME which is where a lot of people will be wanting to type lots of stuff soon
