In stock on the 18th, so pre-order now

This is a very good price for a non-reference GTX 1070 with a fairly decent cooler.

As an added bonus, KFA2 have a UK RMA centre, whereas most competitors are Hong Kong/EU based. This could save you a lot of time should you need this service.

Worst idea ever? Pre-order something that is dropping in price weekly, and is due to be superseded in the near term.

Oh, and OCUK are the worst for pre-ordering, since they take your money upfront - yes that is right they take the money before they even have the goods. So if it is delayed by a week or more, you are still out of pocket with no goods. Pretty shameful practice if you ask me.

Do you have a link to that deal?

https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/geforce-gtx-1070-ex-oc-8192mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-33899-overclockers-2935834That deal was posted on the 5th, looks like the same card.

Thanks. I don't see a mention of free shipping on that deal, unlike this one, so the end difference is probably only ~£10 for most people.

It was with free shipping - I ordered, and am waiting, but even at ~£20 more its still the lowest price 1070 if you can't wait. Still hot, for now.

Oh, and it went back up to just under £400 before dropping again to this current price. Just wish it was in white as well...

It's called pre-order, makes total sense to me that they would take your money in advance.

Can you find any other modern 'e-tailer' that takes your money up front for pre-orders? Possibly a small handful, but the majority would never do this, and it's a very outdated practice. Almost as bad a 3 days to clear a cheque, or 72 hours to confirm a bank transfer etc. that the banks used to hold on to your money longer.

Don't defend bad practice on a money saving website, where the whole purpose is that you have more cash, for more time.

yes there are merchants who do not take your money when you pre-order from them, so what?

that's up to them, and usually it's a big site like amazon who can afford to do that.

It’s been mentioned above about pre-orders from OCUK, I would like to add that their customer service is shocking, good luck getting a refund!

oh and their forum is full of racist trolls

Racist trolls?

Their forum is well known to have racist views shared which aren’t moderated as the owner of ocuk is very right wing
As predicted the cards are not due in until next week, not the 18th so if you pre-ordered they now have your money, and you have no card.

FYI, OCUK was sold a few years ago to Caseking.de and the previous owner actually passed way earlier this year.
Update:

Price is now £349.99 and still has free shipping (a further £10 saving)

If you pre-ordered you now have to ask for them to refund the difference, as they already took the money.
Any idea when they are going to be in stock? Just says pre order, but no real time frame given.

Ok, I get it. You dislike their pre-order policy.

They hope to have them in at some point next week, but who knows, the could get delayed again, and it may be June.
Anyone get this and are they happy?
