I like the look of them, just wish this was in white.

I think they reserve the white for the HOF editions

They have a white 2070 non HOF card. Not sure about the 2080 though.

Have no idea what this is, am not even gonna Google it, I'm too lazy for that, but what I will do is add heat, because @LazybeatX knows his stuff, and if he posts a deal, then I add heat

Hehe.

In simple terms it's one of the top range cards you can buy. Think of it as a Samsung s10 on your language..

These things were almost 1k not that long ago
Just bear in mind that Nvidia are dropping the 'b' chips and only now using the better 'a' versions, and they are also reportedly changing the memory for faster versions. At this price point it might be better to hang fire until the later cards are released.

I always thought it was a bit shady of them with the whole gpu binning thing. I bought an RTX 2060 direct from Nvidia in the hope that it would be an A chip and they would bin off most of the B chips to the board partners.
I'm hoping the nvidia n amd fight will sort out the prices a bit more.

It should do, they need some competition. I did watch the AMD keynote and I was a bit let down by Navi as it looks like they will be targeting RTX 2070 performance at the high end. But this could be great if they come in at a good price. It may be enough to force Nvidia to drop the ridiculous prices down a bit.
I was happy because 2070 is about my price pain point. Will move up from 1060.

Will be a significant jump for you then.

Do you know when that's likely to be?

Also, how do i know if I'm getting the 'b' chip or the 'a' chip?

They said it would be after May so I would wait till the end of June for stock to shift. I think it is generally assumed that all factory Oc'd Gpus are A chips.
Trouble is, as with any technology, almost as soon as you've bought it, it's obsolete. Who knows how long stock is going to take to clear through the pipeline especially with the US - China Trade war, and if you keep on waiting then the next generation is going to be launched anyways.
Potential 15% faster memory rumour lottery= FPS?

AMD are always going to struggle if they target the middle of the road card with their most expensive model.

The 480 came in at a good price point, but since then, there has been very little compelling offers from AMD's launch windows.

The Vega 56 has come down in price and is slightly attractive, but you can't find a non blower model at the attractive price, so it's really annoying. They don't seem to be able to put up the fight needed to drive competition.

Hopefully when Intel release their GPUs it will force Nvidia to lower prices. But I suppose it all depends on how they perform and what price point they aim for. Still more competition is good.

I wouldn't recommend you look for an Nvidia Quadro RTX 8000 if you think this is expensive.
