Cheapest in the market that I can see for this KIA Sportage on a 2 year lease. These seem to be really popular estate cars on the leasing market, and it's understandable with the generous options included, not to mention the car being a mild hybrid helping you achieve better MPG.

23 x £239.99
+£150 Admin
+ £1439.94 Initial
= £6,959.71 total

Manufacturer RRP:£28,035

3320023-fOMkZ.jpg3320023-vMUbr.jpg

The car is the new Mild Hybrid which brings together a diesel engine and a small battery to slash the cars emissions and give the MPG a little bump too.

Spec includes:

  • All round electric windows
  • Privacy Glass
  • Apple CarPlay/Andoid Auto

  • 7" touchscreen satellite navigation
  • LED Bi-Function headlights

The car I own cost 25000 new I paid 7500 at 2 years and 9 months old and it's still like a new car and I'll probably keep it for upto 10 years. I know we are all different....but as I say I hate wasting money..

Peace of mind, warranty, no MOT, no road tax, free breakdown cover. Not to mention the fact that some people just like to drive a new car.
Ordered one from them last week. Managed to get 16k miles a year plus metallic paint and no admin fee for only £11 a month more than this deal. Although that is a 48 month deal.

Sorry how much per month you said??
Decent lease especially can get it for 16k miles a year for just £11. 1.6L diesel spec engine should be okay, economical too.
This AWD?
Description says estate, looks more SUV-ish

Most of the drivers drive on the road drive it as the name suggests but there isn't anything sporting besides its looks. However drivers of the beautiful stinger however drive their car with modesty despite its pedigree.

Kia and Pedigree in the same sentence?

Indeed it does as Kia hired Albert Biermann, formally BMWs M division chief who was a key player in the stingers development.

I like the Stinger (Maybe not the interior). But bringing in a designer from BMW, doesn't give them automatic pedigree.
The GF has the GT Line S which bumps up the spec a bit including panoramic roof and it's a lot of motor for the money. I'm very impressed with the Sportage so far since January.

I can take the road tax out of it as it's a eco flex and zero rated.....but yeah I agree I will have to fork out for some maintenance on it in time. And as of a new car as I said it drives and looks like one as they still make the model.
But as i said we are all different....just saying to me it doesn't make sense.

In fairness to the guy, Albert Biermann was the head of BMWs M division. The head.

Leadership matters.
On thoughts on this over a Skoda Karoq at similar price? Size, comfort, features?
8k miles? Should be enough to get to the supermarket every week. Might as well buy 2... oh, wait...

It does given who the designer was therefore a formulation based on the historical experience of Albert Biermann.

Not quite true. Hyundai own a very small part of Kia but every single department of Kia is operated independently.

The best in all these leasing deals is mileage, really 8k miles per year. For normal user you need to double it or you buying imitation of SUV only for shopping what doesn't make sense.

Just out of curiosity, may I ask what car is £25k new and £7.5k after 3 years? And at what mileage?

If no one buys new car then how come we will get 3 year olds on the market, someone has to buy/lease new cars in order for others to benefit later.

25k new and it didn't have Bluetooth 😳
Is this the 2wd one?

Friends got one. 2wd version. Thinking it would be good in the winter.

It's not. It's absolutely terrible. Big weight and fat tyres (like this) on a 2wd car just compact any snow under the tyre and turn it into a mini ice-rink. It even slid down their sloped driveway when parked ..... and yes, the handbrake was on.

I hate SUV's.

Best non-4wd car I've ever had in the snow is an old-skool Mini. Light weight and skinmny tyres. Ideal! Was funny watching the big fat Mercs and Beamers fishtailing all over the place while I plodded along quite happily ....
Not an estate. Rented one of the pre-facelift ones in Spain a year or two ago and ended up with bags on people's laps at the back, when everything had fitted in the boot of my Focus estate.

Was ok to drive, sucked in the snow and wet, lane keep etc was nice and auto wiper stuff worked better than a brand new Mégane I've driven recently

Decent enough price for a well specced car.

Is it? Had no idea. Always thought they were separate manufacturers. Makes sense I guess with some overlap in the interiors of some cars in the range.

Learnt something new today.

Risky though. Most of these lease cars are ragged to death and badly treated. Almost certainly not looked after because they weren’t owned outright before.

At least that is my fear.

Well someone corrected me earlier in the thread that hyundai own part of kia so it's not that they are 100% the same company. But I do know that on many kia parts on my car there are hyundai mouldings on them especially in the obvious areas round the engine bay. I think by and large the cars share quite a bit between models such as the i30 and ceed etc and probably across the range
