I'm confused. "Sealed in power source means minimal maintenance" and "9v Battery supplied".

Is the CO on a household battery and the smokes on built in?

Sounds strange smokes are normaly powered by 9v batteries I think the carbon monoxide is powered by 3X AA think they have balls up somewere

seams a good price even with postage anybody find better

we have some mains powered kidde smoke alarms & the back-up battery is built-in to the unit. In other words, when the battery finally fails (ours supposedly have a 10-year lifespan), you would then have to change the whole unit rather than just change the battery. Perhaps this is what they mean by the sealed-in power source, & 9V battery supplied? As the 9V battery is already sealed into the unit?? HTH!!

I think you are probably right, models on Kidde site have 9vs in smokes and AAs in CO..

Also the image they have on their page is of the CO model without the display but their text says it has a display. From Kidde site the display one looks like this:

How exciting, I wonder which one you'll get! Either way seems hot to me.

Hardly confusion over! Picture shows a CO without display but description says with digital display.

Everyone should have a smoke alarm. Not sure as to whether this is a bargain -seems a tad expensive to me. Lukewarm (for the sentiment)

Great Buy!!

Oh I do beg your pardon, letting people know about the P+P is hindering. When are YOU going to help by adding the P+P to the title.

It's a simple request that you seem reluctant to undertake WHY

I got this deal at local hardware shop. Daughter at uni has some friends who have carbon monoxide poisoning from boiler in their house so I thought I would buy her an alarm. This was the cheapest CO alarm I could find,I didn't need the smoke alarms but they are in a cupboard for when I do.

Not very cheap deal to be honest.
the 2 smoke alarms are only £9.54 + pp when bought on their own

I picked up this CO detector for £10 from B&Q a few months ago
