Thanks Benji

£20 is the standard price for safety gates.. got mine few years ago for £20 from Argos and they still retail at the same price.

We have had one of these for years, very effective for keeping the grandkids out of trouble.

A cheaper safety gate proved no problem for my grandson who quickly managed to open it. He then ran into the open gate and got a cut just next to his eye. I thoroughly recommend this twist & lock mechanism.

"Prevents children from walking into hazardous safety gates"

Nice find, just about to buy a couple of gates.

Just bought a Lindam from Argos for £20

Does anyone know if one end of the gate needs to be screwed into a wall? Its not clear from the picture.

Nice, I must buy one for my nice - 1.5y old, she like "walking" on stairs

Doesnt look like you need screws to fix, at least on 1 side

I think one side needs to be screwed. If you look at standard non-screw types they have a solid bar at the bottom which pushes back the other way (if that makes sense???) to stop the whole thing from just squashing together and the hole becoming too small for the gate.

I might be wrong but I haven't seen a design like this as a non-screw type before.
