close, but not the same
I bought one of these and it is very high quality, had it 3 years and its still like new. They are very expensive but the quality of the wood and the treatment is important. Don't buy cheaper ones. We also bought a wendy house on stilts with a smaller slide, it was from another supplier and was cheaper, its now falling to bits. Be aware, they are very complicated to put together and take several days. I would highly recommend this company.
Do you think a "small" adult could sit on the swing. say 70-80kg?

I want to get one for my kids but I also want to use the swing!

I have my set from Selwood. Occasionally I sit on it or show kids how they can swing by themself without me having to push them. I also weight 80 kg. Its well made and the frame should withstand your weight if youre not going to overdo it.
made of cedar, not cheaply pine so price isn't even that high considering that.
We have this set and it is well made and the kids love it: selwood.com/mea…tml
Great thank you so much. Been looking at these and almost paid 300 for a second had one. This is perfect. Quick question, does anyone have the baby swing? My youngest is 2 so wondering if she will fit in it
Soooo tempted especially with baby seat too.

Im pretty short but dont qualify for dwarf status hehe!

I guess other thing is would be nice to be able to sit and hold my baby while on it ... which is the reason I should have put instead of implying its really for me haha.

No guarantees you won't spill your wine! ;0)
Definitely want this but have concerns about the height, do you need permission from the neighbours with it being higher than fence height?
Thanks op, been looking for one & this fits the bill perfectly for my 2 boys. Bought!

No you dont. this is not a house extension or otherwise so will not need any permission what so ever from neighbours
swaying between a 1.2 or 1.5 platform. Does it make that much of a difference for the 30cm.
oh these are adorable! Does anyone know if this site has regular sales on the playsets or is this a rare chance?

Ordered this yesterday, already text me asking which day I wanted to have it delivered. can't wait for it to come, taking one week which is brilliant!

Yep I know it sounds daft but he's one of those that if there was a reason to get me to take it down he would.

Fence is 6 foot so a few feet over but I don't see it as a major issue.

Seen the bigger version of this in Costco and the quality looks superb

You do need planning permission, these have a raised platform more than 30cm above the ground so do not qualify under permitted development.

I'm sure 99% of people don't bother, and searching locally the two (retrospective, following complaints) applications have been granted. But there are reports in the media of other councils' taking enforcement action after neighbour complaints.

I reckon any child's play centre designer worth his salt would've taken in to account the recent upsurge in childhood obesity and accounted for that sort of weight in their calculations.
The one on eBay is cheap rubbish from a really poor company, cannot comment on this one definitely avoid the eBay one

These are made of wood 1 1/4inch x 1 1/2inch so the holes will probably be same in size.

YES you do need planning permission, did I or anybody else that erected something like this get it? almost certainly NO but that doesn't change the fact that it does require it so stop just guessing and insulting the guy for a serious question.

myself I would put it up anyway, IF a neighbour complains to the council and IF they send you a letter requiring planning permission then just retroactively apply for it and you will almost certainly get permission but you will have to pay the fee making this not such a cheap deal.

It's not only height, it's also distance from the fence from what I remember - which is the reason why we stuck ours in the middle of the garden instead of tucked away next to the fence.
I spotted this at the weekend, and have been toying with ordering it, but now it's sold out now unfortunately! they have another one on offer now for £249, but it doesn't have the play kitchen which was a real selling point for us.
