Thank you for this OP - tells me where to avoid.
Co-Op cafes do a permanent term term offer where children's meal is free with an adult meal & school holiday offer of children's meals for only £1 which can be consumed by children or adults (no minimum spend). This is not well advertised so you need to ask them to process it at the till for you. In my opinion by far the best supermarket cafe food. All cooked fresh to order, piping hot, good portions & quick service. Also they do a loyalty card; buy 9 adult meals & get the 10th free.

Children eat for £1 each @ Toby Carvry: The voucher allows up to two children (under the age of 10) per party to have a main meal for £1 each, per full-paying adult. The offer does not include drinks or breakfast. Available from 26 May until 10 June 2017, Monday to Saturday only (excludes Sundays but includes the bank holiday on Monday 29 May
