Kids go-kart £39.00 @ Halfords

Just popped into my local branch in Southampton to waste some time whilst Mrs looked around in Boots and ended up buying one for my 4 year old. Chap at the till seemed to think it was a good price too once he scanned it through, also available online. Had a quick check online and similar looking ones generally seemed to be around £60-70.

Great deal for the kiddies, heat added

Would it be ok for a 7 year old?

Instructions state 3+ years and max weight of 30kg.

so no good for a 37yr old that's 80kg? Bummer

Well, it's 3+ years so you are ok in regards to that. You do need to lose 50 kg though.

Product info on the link definitely says 5+ otherwise I would have ordered for my 3 yr old.

Has it got rubber wheels .. Thanks

Think the online info is wrong as the assembly instructions definitely state 3+. My son just turned 4 last month and with the seat in the most forward position I know he would have still be able to reach the peddles a year ago as I'll need to move it back soon.

Pretty worthless on anything but carpet then...

Too small for a 7 year old, had a similar one from Asda at Xmas, and he's not tall for his age

I'd say the complete opposite! Well useless on my carpet anyway but good for hard flooring and concrete.

Anyone know if these use bearings in the wheels?

Does anyone know if it has double wishbone suspension and ABS as standard?

Will be fine for a five year old as you can fix the seat in two positions so I reckon in the back most position would be fine for an average 5-6 yr old.

Popped into Halfords on way home from work and was surprised by how small this is. I'd have thought a petite 5 year-old might fit.

For kids 3+

it did say 5+ on link but in halfords it says 3+

They changed it after my complaint.
