Thanks for posting

We stopped putting our daughter in nappies, during the day, at 17 months and she was dry within a week, obviously she still wore a nappy at night but she is now 24 months and never wears a nappy at all.

All of the other children at her play group are still in nappies.

Well said Tyranicus66, couldn't agree more! When will people realise that every kid is different! Some will learn things quicker and easier than others, it's not necessarily parents "not really making the effort".

I went with Gina Ford`s book and it was a easy transition...and yes...really for 1 week. HTH

The correct age is when the toddler knows they need to go and can tell … The correct age is when the toddler knows they need to go and can tell you, eg...(panic face) "wee wee". This is tpyically later for little lads than girls. My girl is just about dry and she is 2yrs 3months old, but she has only been telling us she needs to go for the last 6 weeks.Don't pass sweeping judgements on other people (particularly on sensitive subjects like kids) imo or you will get some serious flak.

Agreed - our daughter was easy, our son .. is just over two and we have been advised not to rush it ... we are working at it now, but seriously every kid is different (now all the kids being wheeled around in prams at 3/4)...

Quite agree. Thankfully the person that actually put the initial comment has had the sense to delete it. This is a deal site not somewhere to peddle your pompus, condecending, patronising views on parenting skills.

and ......... calm.

Got toilet seat from Kettering today- well worth the £2.99. Steps seem fine - same price as Ikea. Didn't see potty.

Got them too they have light blue, green and pink.
And also some maths and english school books for 99p each from age 3-4 to 10-11years

Wilkinsons do this clip in the middle seat for £1 I think ... I know we bought a couple so it must have been cheap - and Ikea do a cheaper stool, name a forsiktig or something ... can't help thinking it is swedish for fore...! My kids love stools like that for cleaning teeeth, switching on the light and everything ... as well as reaching the toilet.

Thanks OP! in the middle of potty training so this has come at the right time!!

I used these for my son, he was dry by day by 2 and at night by 3. But all kids are different, he wouldn't get out a buggy til he was 4 but i needed it cos we lived miles from a shop and too far for little legs lol

We bought one of these sets but in the end didn't really bother with them.. our boy was probably close to 4 by the time he didn't need a nappy and he still wears pyjama pants at night, he's 5 now. Mind you he does pythagoras and can calculate the area of a circle and it's circumference so as most people say all kids are different.
