Bought a few cheapo games instore at CeX today, one of which was killzone 2 for just £1.50! Also got killzone 3 (in a shiny tin case ooooh ahhhh) for £4, bioshock 2 for £3, Haze for £2, resistance 1 £2 and resistance 2 for £2.50 and Resident Evil 5 for £3. Probably won't play half of them, but at these prices, who cares.

Far cry 2 was £2.50

Resident Evil 5 Gold which includes all the DLC was only £4.

Spent £45 in CeX today myself, loving Lollipop Chainsaw.

The PS3 version did not come with DLC codes it was all on disc.

Yeah the Gold Edition has the DLC on the disc. Also has the Playstation Move update built in

Have to agree with you there. One of my all time favorite games. Still haven't completed it!

As a PC gamer for years now I've only just bought my PS3 on the Tesco deal put up on here and it's great, I've no interest in on-line gaming so just the single player campaign for me so pre owned games are fine. From CEX I've bought around 20 games now all for less than the price of 2 new ones. It will take me months to go through these and hopefully by the time I do the games at around a tenner now will be at the £4 or less price point so my next wave of gaming should still be cheap.
I read some reviews about CEX online and it receives some negative press but every game I've got is nice and scratch free so no complaints from me as they are cheaper than Blockbuster Marketplace. I ordered my games 7 at a time on-line and just paid the delivery.

I just went onto CEX and listed the PS3 games starting at the lowest price first and went through them checking out the gameplay on Youtube and adding what looked good to my basket. A £12 first order followed by 2x £15 orders and I'm well happy

£3

Hannah Montana - The Movie (Easy plat lol)
Timeshift
Alone In The Dark
Turok
Call Of Duty World At War
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Untold Legends - Dark Kingdom
Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway
Medieval Moves
Call Of Juarez: The Cartel
50 Cent: Blood On The Sand
Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
Heavenly Sword
Oblivion, Elder Scrolls IV
Fuel
Bulletstorm
R.U.S.E
Call of Juarez - Bound In Blood

Is Fallout 3 really good?

I love CEX, always fair prices for trade ins and fair prices when buying, prices are labeled to be very visible, and very nice staff, especially in the Macclesfield store.

Yes! It's the best game you'll ever play for 2 quid

That's because they are essentially a cash shop, or pawn brokers.

They give you higher trade ins because their products are more expensive, even second hand. They give you terrible cash prices if you are desperate.

Obviously with the exception of low value things they don't want any more. Like soon to be previous gen games which are up to 6 years old.

They are hoping you bring along something in more of a demand for these old games, like GTA V or cold hard cash.

One of the best games you will play. Period.

Selling this for 2 quid is almost a crime - excellent for anyone who hasn't played it yet. One of the very few games I have on both consoles.

Heated.

IIRC they were selling it for up to £70 before launch and then £50 at launch.

But how many people brought it from them for cash my local has nearly 30 copies at the moment. If you look online they have over 10,000 copies lol they will end up making a loss on loads of these.

Picked Killzone 2 and 3 up on Friday for £5.50, great price and gets me caught up for shadow fall

completed killzone 3 a whilst back, Started killzone 1 the other day to realize its a PS2 game (purchased on PSN). guess will have to complete that before moving onto part 2. Loved killzone 3 though. heat added

Great game. Worth it for the campaign alone. Great graphics.

I was not aware of that...BARGAIN

There are 2 reasons these games are extremely cheap

1) They are extremely old and the majority of people have already played them

2) CEX have thousands of copies they can't shift!

Thanks OP I'll definitely be getting killzone and a few others on my next visit

Yes! I'm in the extreme minority that I haven't played Halo 3 yet lol

On the other hand once you have done with them you're stuck with a load of old games that aren't worth anything to sell back on

Couple of quid, it's a throwaway price really. Give 'em to charity!

Each to their own but just because a game is new don't mean it's any good the only good games this year have all been on the ps3. The most I have ever spent on a game is £30 the second most I have spent is £10 and that was a one off. Most of my games have been bargains from the Morrisons 98p deal I picked up nearly a 100 games.

The real idiots are the people who buy fifa and call of duty and after a year it's all most worthless.
Edited by: "keepitonthelow" 20th Oct 2013

Prince of Persia for 2.50 is absolutely bargain, great game.

Prince of persia is 1.80 in blockbusters at the moment

Singularity is a good, mostly unknown title

Its never worth it doing that at the end up you end up with no games or money. All the benefit goes to them. (Like 50% of the value of each trade).

COD:W@W is a bargain too and a REAL challenge to platinum - hard difficulty is way tougher than the other CODs. Also Heavenly Sword is a steal too and one of the few games to make proper use of sixaxis motion.

If you buy a load of cheap games from CEX once you have played them just sell them as a bundle on Ebay, sell them in batches of 6 or 7 and throw in a couple of decent titles in with the cheapos and you will see your money back you might even make a profit. I've been looking at PS3 game bundles on Ebay for a few weeks now and I was cheaper getting them from CEX so I know I can sell them on Ebay when I'm done and not be out of pocket.
