...Not sure if they are still issuing the 'Super Voucher' with it too?...

The additional redeemable voucher code was removed from GAME's product page on the day of release. Presumably this was just a pre-order incentive.

BFN,

fp.

Now the (GAME Exclusive) "Collector's Edition" includes a redeemable voucher code for...

* The "Retro Map Pack" with two maps from Killzone®2 ("Salamun Market" & "Blood Gracht"; although both have been update/enhanced). Currently £3.99 from PlayStation Store.

* An exclusive Killzone®3 dynamic theme

* The Killzone®3 soundtrack (MP3 files installed on your PS3 console's hard drive that can be copied to an external USB drive if desired)

Previously an additional redeemable voucher code was available that offered...

* Unlocks all weapons and abilities for your first 24 hours of multiplayer gameplay.

* Lets you rise through the ranks faster by earning experience points at twice the normal rate for your first 24 hours of multiplayer gameplay (i.e. "Double XP for one day"; come back 25 hours after you type the code in & you've missed out!)

* Gives you 3 unlock points to use on any weapon or ability you want

Any idea if its instore as well? I'm off to pick up a copy of KZ3 at lunch

Might pick this up as I'm still waiting for ShopTo to deliver my pre-order. Gah.

I saw it at £47.99 in a GAME branch yesterday but their weekly offers begin on Thursday so I may have not visited a store that had updated their shelf stock yet.

That said, GAME's online products (at GAME.co.uk) are regularly priced differently to their in-store prices.

(Gameplay.co.uk is, of course, only an online business concern)

Still? I thought ShopTo's reputation was based on their "next day" delivery & money back if they fail to meet a pre-order date.

The tweet from Gameplay that alerted me to the price reduction called it a "weekend special" - checked the GAME price and they seemed to have matched it. Might be worth phoning the store before you go in....maybe they could price match with their online price (unlikely, I know)?

In-store do not price match with their online business. They never have.

[EDIT]: You may be able to order online (today) for collection in-store (tomorrow?) at the online price [/EDIT]

I'll be doing the usual Friday lunchtime browse (smiling at the prices, & then coming back to the World Wide Wait to find them significantly cheaper) too.

As I said, it is presently £3.99 on PlayStation Store, but the Collector's Edition also as a Steelbook instead of a standard plastic case, & the soundtrack/dynamic theme.

There is a significant addition to "Salamun Market" this time around!

I ordered on the Tuesday before the Friday release and a few hours later it was showing as in stock. It was despatched quickly but it appears Royal Mail have lost it. I haven't had the best of luck with RM lately.

D'oh! Do you have to wait a few weeks before ShopTo will submit a claim to the Royal Fail & despatch a replacement to you?

Due to it only being a few hours late the seller isn't going to take any action, even though I recommended that he should.

Good value.

Word of advice: Time the 24 hours code after you are good at the game. Then watch the points fly.

A few hours takes the delivery into another (cheaper) service. The person despatching paid more than the listed price of the lesser service. In the absence of compensation, I would certainly request a refund. Good luck either way.

The differences between online and instore prices at GAME have always been a mystery to me - surely they are taking business away from their retail stores, which seem to be closing at quite a rate now. Maybe they want to be online only in the future, or they just like fleecing the casual shoppers?

Two completely separate business revenue streams (although you can collect or return mail order items in-store & GAME Reward Points may be gained or redeemed at either)

Never underestimate the ability of a young child to be able to cause a fuss & tantrum in a high street store by not wishing to leave before something (over-priced) is purchased & a parent panders to their behaviour.

Due to the fact that families are now spread across the UK more than they were a generation or two ago, relatives buying for children they rarely see will go into a high street store to purchase a voucher (that cannot be used online) because the young recipient has a similar store in their home town.

It isn't just The Game Group, of course.

I've just seen the "Killzone 3" & 'Jungle Green' DUALSHOCK(r)3 wireless controller set in-store at HMV for... £74.99!

BFN,

Completed the single player in under 5hrs. Haven't tried multiplayer yet but it should add some value to the game. If you're not into online gaming it's worth avoiding until the price drops.

Do you go 'round twice (once with one of the three initial difficulty levels, & then once on 'Elite'; only unlocked once the campaign mode has been completed) in five hours?

Did you player single player campaign mode, or co-operative campaign mode? Or both?

I bought the (Collector's Edition of) the game just for the multiplayer aspects.

Damn shame. I was looking forward to my name being mentioned on there.

Maybe they haven't been checking HUKD today?

It has in fact been the sane price at gamestation the whole time this thread has been active. I was going to post the deal before Carrot did, but forgot to.

It was actually still £48 at Gamestation when I posted the deal - they must have brought the price in line shortly afterwards. I have updated the description accordingly, cheers.

Got mine this morning and got emailed a pre order 24 hour multiplayer code as well from gameplay!

Icing on the cake

Good deal, if I wasn't so skint right now I'd jump on it.
