Killzone: Shadow Fall - PlayStation Hits (PS4) £5.95 Delivered @ The Game Collection
Posted 9th Sep 2020Edited by:"mixmixi"
Killzone: Shadow Fall is the latest installment in the hugely successful Killzone franchise, developed exclusively for PlayStation 4, by Guerrilla Games. Thirty years after the events of Killzone 3, the world is a very different place, with two rival factions, the Helghast and the Vektans, living side by side divided by a vast wall. In the midst of it all stands a Shadow Marshal, an elite soldier, the best of the best. As Shadow Marshal Lucas Kellan, you’re sworn to protect your home and the values you believe in. Maintaining the fragile peace is difficult when there is no trust between either side. A series of escalating conflicts puts you on the path of a Helghast intelligence operative named Echo, who fights for the same reasons but on the opposite side. Strive to uncover the whole story as the intense, immersive combat of the Killzone series is reborn on PS4.

There is no PS5.
Great game, actually played a few rounds again other day. Straight into a match no problems.

£3.50 at CEX if you're passing by one and not bothered about it being pre-owned.

Not a bad game tbh, gave up on Chapter 9 cos it got ridiculously difficult (even on normal difficulty) where enemies would infinitely respawn and ammo doesn't.

Was already given on ps plus
Good little game this. People always moan about there never being enough quality launch games (or lack) to play with your new console but this personally kept me going for weeks after playing the campaign. The multiplayer still holds up incredibly well IMO and I always loved the way you can switch gametypes on the fly without having to back out of the game/map your playing on.

My only gripes are the story feels a little underdeveloped and not very ambitious despite some decent performances from main cast and whilst I do respect the more vibrant colour palette and visual style I do miss those grittyness, hell and war torn environments that the previous games employed which really bought the worlds you were on to life. Particularly with the second game

Highly recommend this though!
