This is the best kitchen descaler for anything IMO, and usually costs anywhere up to £8 or more for this size (400ml) It's rare to find it at Aldi and it usually disappears immediately. The is another version in an orange bottle which is the same price but half the strength. So it's worth checking in your Aldi. It isn't listed online

Yep £1.99 in our Home Bargains too. Brilliant price
Good deal but not sure where you are quoting the £8 for 400ml. A quick glance on Amazon shows it's around £4.50 or less if bought as a multi-pack.
If anyone fancies making their own version, just as good and a quarter the price. Home brew shop citric acid dissolved in water works great. Safe for appliances too.
Go buy the white vinegar from your local Polish shop. You are looking for bottles that are marked 20%. 1l bottles cost about £1.80. This stuff will clean a kettle in about 5 mins, and is currently sat here in a bucket cleaning the rust off some tools. Whilst still clear then it is fully reusable, and when you are tired of it, then chuck it in the loo or sink to clean them as well. Do not be so stupid as to throw it away just because you cleaned the kettle once. One bottle will last at least 6 months worth of kettle cleaning.
Distilled vinegar (clear) cheap and just as good. 39p for 368ml in Home Bargains!

But the % is only about 5%. Very poor compared to the Eastern European cleaning / pickling vinegar 20%.
The crap stuff works out at £1.06 per litre, whereas the good stuff is about £1.80 for 4 times the strength

Yes cheaper.but Kilrock contains Formic acid which is a stronger acid and doesn't leave such a strong smell behind. Of course you need to rinse both with plenty of water but the vinegar smell seems to linger
Yeyyyy, stated which store. Heat just for that 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
