Not sure if this is a daily deal but have had this on my wish list for a while. If you like is zany deadpan delivery on shows like MTW and HIGNFY you’re going to love this.

Product description
An amazing book of grimly hilarious true stories . . . with devastating deadpan lines. A total, bleak treat.

(Daily Star)

James Acaster has a brilliant comic mind, crackling with energy every bit as much as his corduroy slacks (Milton Jones)

A charming and nostalgic memoir (Sunday Times)
Book DescriptionThe Sunday Times Bestseller. Award-winning stand-up comedian James Acaster recalls his classic scrapes.
From the Inside FlapJames Acaster has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award five times and has appeared on prime-time TV shows like MOCK THE WEEK, LIVE AT THE APOLLO and RUSSELL HOWARD'S STAND UP CENTRAL.

But behind the fame and critical acclaim is a man perpetually getting into trouble. Whether it's disappointing a skydiving instructor mid-flight, hiding from thugs in a bush wearing a bright red dress, or annoying the Kettering Board Games club, a didgeridoo-playing conspiracy theorist and some bemused Christians, James is always finding new ways to embarrass himself.

Appearing on Josh Widdicombe's radio show to recount these stories, the feature was christened 'James Acaster's classic scrapes'. Here, in his first book, James recounts these tales (including never-before-heard stories) along with self-penned drawings, in all their glorious stupidity.

You can 'add audio narration' for £2.99 as well, giving you the audio book (normally £17 odd) too. Supposedly a good listen
Thanks, ordered the book & the audible. Heat from me
Read this book while abroad last year, really really liked it. Made me laugh out loud a good few times. Well worth 99p of anyone's money.

In fact it' so good I've just gone for the audible version at £2.99 as well.

I like him but found the book very disappointing. For example, there is a whole chapter on him wiping his wet hands on a girls jacket a primary school, yet a near fatal spectacular car crash that left the car on his roof merits a single line.

to be fair, there's quite a lot of car crashes in the book...
