Incredibly thin and light, the Fire 7 is a feature-packed tablet that gives you access to millions of movies, TV episodes, songs, books, apps, games, and more. Fire 7 comes equipped with a 7-inch IPS display (1024x600), which offers a great viewing experience. Thanks to a fast 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor, the Fire 7 delivers quick app launch times, smooth games and videos, and a great overall performance.

The Fire 7 comes with a 2 megapixel rear-facing camera that allows for high-resolution photos and 720p HD video. The front-facing VGA camera is perfect for video chatting with friends and family over Skype. Also, with up to 128GB of expandable storage, and free cloud storage for Amazon content, the Fire 7 makes it easy to keep all your content close at hand.

Delivering quick access to the things you need the most, the updated interface on the Fire 7 includes dedicated pages for books, apps, video, music, and audiobooks. The Second Screen function enables you to make your television the primary screen to watch a movie or TV show, while controlling the video from your Fire 7. Furthermore, when you tap the Mayday button on your Fire 7 you can connect to an Amazon Tech advisor who will guide you through any feature on the tablet.

A brilliant multitask device, the Fire 7 tablet has all the looks, power, fluid performance and speed that you need. It is powered by a rechargeable battery that provides up to 7 hours of reading, surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, and listening to music.

What a ridiculous price
The thing that kind of irks me is the way everybody tries not to miss an opportunity to rip us off this side of the pond. This little beauty is on sale by Amazon in the US at $35 (roughly £23), Why?
Price matched on Amazon
Thanks OP £24.00 with boost
can you get you tube on this ?

Worth an extra £1 in my opinion to get it from JL for the aftersales.

But that's not really a fair comparison. At the best exchange rate I can find, it's £23.64. Then, if you add our VAT on top it comes out to £28.40. Given the more expensive cost of doing business here (couriers are more expensive, as are warehouse rents, etc), I think a roughly 20% premium on such a small item is relatively normal.
Bought this for £49.99 last week. Contacted Amazon just a few minutes ago. Going to refund the difference
John lewis is 34.95...
I've ordered from Amazon for £34.99 but thinking I've made a mistake it's for a young child who would only use it to watch YouTube episodes of peppa pig and play games. Ve since read it's connected to my amazon account lack of free apps and no YouTube?

Is this correct?

No complaints here. I use mine for browsing and reading books mostly. Has a canny game store. Doubt you'll be to find better for the price.
You can put YouTube on it.

There are apps.

Or there are third party apps store which will give you YouTube like 1 mobile market.
They have these instore, I've just picked one up, bargain with staff discount too!!
Instore here as well very tempted saving my vouchers for something else
