Product details

The Kindle Fire HD 7 has been designed as a powerful and reliable device that boasts a wide range of features to keep up with today's ever-growing market.

The ultra-lightweight Kindle runs on a powerful quad-core processor with 16GB of storage and a 7" HD (1280x800) touch display for stunning visuals. Perfect for browsing, watching, playing and reading, the Kindle Fire HD 7 gives you instant access to the Amazon Appstore with a great selection of Android-based apps and games. The collection is designed to offer top-rated apps like Facebook, Netflix, and Evernote, as well as your favourite games like Minecraft in HD. Your choice of entertainment is then enhanced with the tablet's high quality stereo speakers that have incorporated Dolby Digital Plus technology to create virtual surround sound, and deliver clearer dialogue in films and TV programmes.

With Wi-Fi connectivity, the Kindle Fire offers ultra-fast web browsing and email, as well as integrated support for applications like Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and more. It also comes with free unlimited cloud storage for all your Amazon-purchased content, so you don't have to worry about losing your favourite media ever again.

Great for families, the Kindle Fire HD 7 adopts the use of profiles; this enables each user to keep their personalised settings like email and social accounts, game levels and more. Amazon Freetime allows you to set screen time limits and create profiles specifically for children that limit access to the apps and games that they can use.

The Kindle Fire HD 7 offers a range of exclusive features brought to you by Amazon. Second Screen allows you to send video and audio to the big-screen using the "Fling" icon. This will then free up your Fire HD for other tasks. The tablet also features an Advanced Streaming and Prediction feature that monitors your viewing habits and pre-buffers selected programmes and films that a viewer is likely to watch next.

Other features include a front-facing VGA camera for free Skype-to-Skype calls plus a SlimPort enabled microUSB port that lets you connect your tablet using SlimPort adapters for viewing content on your TV, computer monitor and more. The Kindle Fire HD 7 has an extra long battery life, which provides up to 8 hours of use on a single charge.

some times its due to deals on at the time could have been others at the time with the same sort of price but some times find it a lottery on here, but I don't care if it goes hot or cold really just like to know that I have helped some one save money.

not got my hands on one yet to know maybe some one can help on here though.

It's good tablet for the money to be honest. The Only thing front cameras are very poor for skype (VGA) and rear only 2MP. I'm looking for something for my parents at the moment and waiting for Lenovo Yoga 8" offer. Also on quadcore and 1GB RAM but Yoga's front camera is 1,6 MP HD so its quite impressive and rear is 5MP

I'd go hudl2.

Another vote for.....Hudl 2.

The new Hudl gets very good reviews and is probably in the same league as the Nexus 7 2013 and Kindle Fire HDX which cost considerably more .

A big plus is that Hudl is running pretty much vanilla Android whereas Amazon is running Fireos, an Android fork. But it means you don't get access to the Google Play store or even Google apps like Gmail and Maps. Amazon has its own much more limited App store and its own versions of email apps but they're not as polished as the Google

sorry, i did post more info but clearly isnt here!
I had a kindle but i didnt like the workarounds that i potentially had to do to get access to google play (which i tried to do but didnt work). I had a hudl 1 and thought it was awful but after readings reviews on hudl2 i think its overall better than a kindle because of the apps.

The Kindle Fire 7 HDX is back down to £99 plus a £10 gift voucher. This really is a beast of a tablet especially if you can root it and install the Google Play store on it

This blows the ordinary HD 7 out of the water....and is probably better than Hudl 2 because of it great battery life
