Got one last year and love it. Couple of pound for an hd cable and you can full screen it to your telly if you want to share reading a book. Lol

Not a good deal Argos is doing it at £99.99 for the 16GB not the 8GB it's on their website

That was the first gen jackie1969uk this is for the new one. No hdmi out or camera on the 2nd gen....not worth the "upgrade" for me!

Is this the one with random amazon adverts throughout the OS? I never quite understood that

I would get the nexus instead, but this is a good deal.

apparently you can pay £10 to switch them off. The whole concept is bizarre and the specs/versions need to be a lot clearer but in fairness my husband has one and he loves it.

All you need is right here on HUKD :P

Look at the spec details in the argos listing; it states a 1.2ghz processor - this has been superceded by 1.5ghz in the new fire hd.

BTW... those 8GB are misleading! look at the details:
8 GB (4.8 GB usable storage).. you can have around 4 HD movies and nothing more :P

Surely you can do it wireless?
What about the new Amazon Kindle advert where that chap wants to watch a movie on his TV, and that advisor on the Kindle device explains how to watch it on TV. Looks simple enough no?
