Kindle Fire HD 8GB WIFI 7'' Tablet, £64 Instore @ Tesco

Found 21st Sep 2014
Just been to my local Tesco (Chester) and picked up one of these Kindle Fire HD WIFI 8GB tablets for the bargain price of £64.

The shelf label says it has been reduced from £129, this price is still reflected online so this appears to be an instore only deal.

Hope this helps someone

2nd Generation HD, 3rd Gen is out now.

Good deal, thanks.

The prices could be dropping now the third generation Kindle Fire HDs are out. The new colourful 6" is £79 and the new 7" is £112. (Nb. HD is lower than the HDX).

These can be found next to the hens teeth! (_;)

Good deal but far too small for a real man.

Another one store Tesco deal set up by the Tesco Marketing Dept (not you OP) so that someone will spot and post it and drive us all into visiting their decrepit massive misery boxes and we'll end up buying something else to make the journey worthwhile.

Cold.

Yes, you could do that and then feel miserable enough to moan on a forum about your experience....or you could pick up the phone and save yourself all the bother.

Seems like quite a bit of heat for something nobody else has found.

Sorry Mr Tesco, what was that again? Did you want me to phone your stores now to find out it's a one-store deal as well? In case you didn't realise, HUKD is set-up to allow people to post their views. And my view is that Tesco use HUKD to drive sales with these goose chase deals.

Northerndave,

I think you think tesco are some corporation that hugs your details to track your movements installing malware on all HUKD members phones selecting at random someones are to make a deal so they post it and drive everyone to all the stores to look in and hopefully catch your eye with something you didnt need or want but impulse drove you....
Coming from supermarkets background initially I can tell you that your view is otherwise nonsense and Tesco wouldnt take that much time and effort (which costs money) for only a couple hundred people nationwide. Newspaper ads and TV ads and billboards can reach almost every single person in urban areas to do that a) more effectively and b) not waste the opportunity when people here can sometimes barely spell and promote products with the ShaBang Omgz IM Firrrin Ma Lazor factor that they wish to achieve.

Tbh, I think any major retailer that had marketing people that DIDN'T see HUKD as a great bait-and-switch opportunity to get asses in through doors would be remiss in their duty. I think you're underestimating the popularity of this site and its ability to generate sales.

Wouldn't this one be a better deal? OK, refurb, 3 mths warranty...but surely better? morgancomputers.co.uk/pro…et/

Nice jumping to conclusions on what I think. Malware, etc etc, what nonsense, when have I ever said that? However the strategic placing of one-off 'amazing' deals in store only, that will get picked-up by HUKD members will drive customers into stores and if you worked in marketing you would know that. The placing of these instore 'deals', especially as they mainly involve Tesco certainly looks suspicious.

And as for tracking your potential as a customer, isn't that what the Clubcard was invented for?

Er.....no. I was suggesting calling the single store you planned to go to, so you wouldn't have to make that wasted journey you refer to... (_;)
You completely missed lightningPete's point too.

So it was a bogus post then or not? You lot confuse me!

Full price in Tesco Extra Eastville.

Bristol?
Are you sure? on Sunday I saw a tiny label stating this offer and also that the 32gb 8" was £129

Thanks for posting. Just went into my local Tesco (Sudbury) and there were none on the shelf or on display, just an empty display stand. I took the card to customer services and they had 1 16gb left which scanned at £79! Bought it there and then. Thanks OP!

Seen it last week @ Truro Branch

If anyone wants any the Old Kent Road tesco has some, plus other kindle models. Didn't see the paperwhite one though which is only one I wanted. Also some Samsung tablets but their prices weren't as good as the regular offers we see listed on this site.
