oh, and did I fail to mention that you'll have a whole £1 left over to splurge on whatever takes your fancy?

This will work with all Kindle products, by the way.
I like your thinking ! Have the heat.
Thinking outside the box - nice one!!
The reserve and collect holds it for several days for you, giving you plenty time to pick up the vouchers.

You don't need to enter any payment or card details to reserve....works the same as Halfords and Argos in that respect.
Argos sell Waterstones vouchers?

Answered my own question waterstones.com/wat…84/

never knew that!

link to Argos gift cards?
Great price for the kindle fire, they look amazing but just a pity I am not willing to part with my old kindle keyboard just yet lol
maybe I'm being stupid but where on Argos site do you get the gift cards? Tried searching under Waterstones and just Gift card but can't find. Wonderful deal btw..if only I could find the cards now!!!
You have to go into an Argos in person.
Is the argos vouchers price a deal elsewhere?
I'm confused
What's the exact offer on the Waterstones cards please? Is it only on Waterstones cards?

What a quaint idea - it'll never catch on - think I will call this activity shopping...... remember you heard it here first.X)
Great work! heat added
thankyou, just in time for my son's bday.

TY. you know when the offer ends? Hopefully after the snow melts!!
The Argos deal runs till Valentine's Day, I think.

Essentially, it's two £20 gift cards for £30 (or two £10 gift cards for £15). Most gift cards that come in £10 and £20 values are in the offer. Gift cards that are £15 and £25 DO NOT WORK.
Is there more information on the argos vouchers? Is there a deal on here about them?
Just hope Waterstones doesn't go into administration like HMV before you spend 'em...
This might finally push me into replacing my Kindle Keyboard with a Paperwhite. The only thing that is holding me back is I don't know if my local Argos would have stock of the Waterstones vouchers.
Have some heat. Cracking deal...

Well that rather kills this deal then as

waterstones.com/wat…84/

states

"Mall Gift Cards You can now purchase a Waterstones giftcard from other retailers including Boots, Morrison's, Argos, Homebase and The Co-Op.

This gift card is redeemable in the same way as our store bought gift cards where you can use it to make a purchase in any of our Waterstones bookshops or on Waterstones.com.

Please note the cards are sold in denominations of £15 and £25 only and the same gift card terms and conditions apply."
@ronray. Then just don't go pick up your reservation..
OP have you actually done this?
great work OP.
Has anyone actually done this yet, just wondered if Waterstones might have a loophole that says you can't use that many vouchers.

So you can't go dressed as a frog or anything?

However, the Waterstones voucher web page says the ones available at other stores like Argos are *only* £15 or £25.
Very Clever ;-)) Reserved mine, now to brave the COLD!!! Brrrrrrr! BIG Heat 4 U, well done!
You can only use one gift card per transaction, how much can you get on one giftcard?
4. The minimum amount required to activate or top-up a card is £1 and the maximum card limit is £500.
Could be risky until proven that it works:

Only one gift card can be used per transaction on Waterstones.com. Whilst there is a balance left on your card, your gift card can be used in Waterstones shops and online at Waterstones.com, subject to point 6. of the terms and conditions below.

Hopefully they will let you use multiple cards on one transaction instore.
Can you pay with giftcard online as don't have Waterstones near me? Thanks
"Please note the cards are sold in denominations of £15 and £25" - so this won't work at Argos then
I wonder if you can then return it and get £159 cash?

The Waterstones I called said I could pay with multiple gift cards (perhaps the lady was mistaken). The argos deal from this site and from moneysavingexpert site says Waterstones cards are included in the deal, and someone over on moneysavingexpert said there were £10 Waterstones cards in their Argos this morning. If it turns out that Waterstones cards are not in the deal at Argos then fair enough, there'll be (virtual) egg on my face.

I've reserved A Fire HD at Waterstones (costs nothing and no risk) but cannot get to Argos till later due to work.

Another unverified deal...sounds too risky at present.
Deal says expired, but would be interested to know if anyone has actually done this.
Only 15 and 25 so not valid just tried.
