you could have just asked them to refund the difference. Think they do it for up to 7 days.

I`d wait a bit longer as it goes down to £80 fairly often

I wasn't aware you could do that. I'll bare it in mind for the future.

This seems to be the best deal available today though
paid £69.99 on black friday with £10 primenow code... great device though.
I've got the Kindle Paperwhite 3rd edition. Is this a newer version?

Also got the 2nd edition. Between 2nd and 3rd there is a huge increase in page refresh and sharpness of the text. The 2nd looked awesome when I got it but compared to 3rd, it looks ancient now!

Awesome for bedtime reading, couldn't do without my paperwhite.

Tip for anyone buying one: Look into the free software called "Calibre". Allows you to put any other eBooks that you may have straight onto your Kindle.

I amassed a collection of eBooks through other readers over time and managed to get them all on my Paperwhite. There are also free eBooks available online that you can put onto your Kindle with this (freeware books, not pirated ones I mean).

The 3rd generation is still the current version, has been since 2015. I suspect there will be a refresh in 2018.
Managed to get this for £39.99 in Black Friday - it's a great bit of kit. The backlight makes all the difference, not having to worry about keeping a light on when reading at night
Got 2x for £39 each...so not really hot

Care to share where from?
If you aren't in a hurry I also recommend to wait. As previously said, this model usually goes down to £80.

Thanks for this tip, I wasn't aware you could put ePUB files on to Kindle. Just bought a book from google Play using the £3 credit offer and can now convert it!

The Paperwhite??? The Paperwhite was £79 black Friday?

Any other kindle just isn't worth it once you use a Paperwhite!

The comment is relevant, it informed me I can likely get it cheaper in future, no time machine required for that.
