This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Kindle paperwhite down to £99.99 and Kindle 2019 down to £59.99. Seems like a decent deal for anyone looking for one, I just grabbed a paperwhite. Without special offers is £10 more.

Anyone think it’ll come down even more on Prime Day soon?

I opted in and was able to get the option on amazon items. Try this amazon.co.uk/b?i…031

You have to see if you're eligible though.

I don't think I've got my credit card on file as use debit card so purchases are paid and accounted for.

Ah well no harm in adding it and see if it'll activate then. Link elsewhere in comments showed I am currently not eligible. Have had Amazon since it begun so hopefully eligible otherwise than that.

Says I'm not. Thanks for link!

Another comment says you need a credit card on file so I'll add mine and maybe I'll become eligible.
Voted hot for the price.

Personally I'd save £40 and get the entry level Kindle, now that it also has a light. The difference in resolution is barely noticeable unless you're a heavy reader of comics.
Does calibre work still with there newest models? I have got loads of books I have acquired but not all are from the kindle library and want to be able to load them via calibre.

By the way I don't have a credit card but get the option to pay 5 lots of £20 installments.

These have rocketed in price. I paid £79 for my Paperwhite when I used to be an Amazon customer.

Well the current entry level Kindle is probably closer to the spec of your old £79 Paperwhite and that's currently only £59, so not really rocketed so much as redesigned and reconfigured.

Is the new one a lot better then?

I think they've added waterproof and upped it from 4gb to 8gb. My one might be the 2018 paperwhite.
