Worth noting that this comes with unremovable Waterstone ads on standby.

I'm sure someone will upload a hack to remove the ads. Very good deal if you can get one. Was looking at some at the weekend to see if the paperwhite was worth the extra - it is.

A good deal but note this is last years model - not the new release

i think u can pay £10 to get rid of the ads im sure i read it somewhere

Would rather buy from Amazon thanks

Showing as £109 on their website?

Last year's model, and is bundled with ads.... why is this hot?!

Oh yes, found it for £89. It's the old model. Rather pay £99 via Amazon website for the new 2013 model.

Not hot for me. I am going to keep waiting for a better deal.

Yep this should either be expired or the title amended to the correct details.

It is the old Kindle Paperwhite RRP £99. Still a tenner saving but it not as good a deal as first appears.

The new Kindle Paperwhite (2013 model) is £109.

Also, you cannot remove the Waterstones branding from the device by paying extra, they are not ads but Waterstones branded screensavers.

It is possible to remove the waterstones screensaver by jailbreaking. After the jailbreak, do a google search for "Waterstoned Kindle" and there are guides online.

I can't see the 2013 available for £99 on amazon. Please post a link of where you find it? Thanks

It is a great device - the latest version is supposedly a tad better, but the difference is small. In any case the display easily beats the competition hands down. Trust me, the difference to the Nook Simple Touch Light is like night and day.

The only disadvantage is that you cannot run Android apps as on the Nook.

Agreed, the light on my nook simple touch does get a bit annoying actually in terms of its very uneven light distribution. Incidentally the Kobo Glo might be a decent compromise on both fronts- fairly good backlight technology (only slightly inferior to kindle, indeed actually better by one or two accounts) and an Android hack has recently surfaced (though it's a bit more tetchy and less developed than the Nook's hack). From time to time they can be had off a certain auction site cheaper than this Kindle.

Hmm, confused now... tried to click the link to see if I could get it... it's saying the nearest one is Isle of White? 74.17 miles away....

got the latest version for £109 from sainsburys with a £10 gift card to use off next purchase

best price guarantee have seen new version at war £104.99 at Currys. Not sure if they are still doing that but worth a look?

I have both and I think it's worth paying £20 extra to get the 2nd generation.

Dont know if this is the new version or what but PC World are selling them for £109+ (product code 068641) with 15% off through quidco. going to phone them tomorrow to confirm that they are the new version.

The new paperwhite is a great piece of kit but for those who like me only use the backlight on occasion the Nook Simple Touch Glowlight is probably a better buy whilst they are still to be found for under 50 notes.
