I really don't need one of these, yet so tempted

These can be incredibly useful at some point or the other (have one myself which I use only occasionally), so definitely get it if you can spare a tenner.

Also, £10 (or best offer) at eBay from a UK-based seller, so will arrive much quicker: ebay.co.uk/itm…512
Edit: Delivery mode & estimated delivery here is: Royal Mail 2nd Class, Thu, 3 Sep - Fri, 4 Sep

These things always look appealing, until that first stubborn screwhead rounds off one of the cheap tips
Cheers. It added a 78p discount on checkout on mine too.
Been trying to sort my collection of these out with no real decent way of organising them. Anyone got any ideas?

Would anyone agree this is pretty much the 'complete set'?
It doesn't appear to have a pentalobe, so you might need something extra for iPhones.

Edit: also no JIS drivers either.

Does it come in 'colour' too?

If you go to that seller's feedback profile, you'd see they're registered in China. There are literally thousands of Far East sellers on ebay using this trick, most people only look at where the item is shipped from (which they fraudulently declare as a UK city) rather than the detailed seller registration information.
Have been stung multiple times by similar sellers, even reported a few to eBay but why should they care - they make their fee either way!!

C'mon, tell me you weren't tempted with the Flexible Extension Bar?

I've got this exact set and you're right - the bits are soft - any bit of tightnesss on the screws results in the tip of the driver bit rounding off rendering them useless and having to throw them away. I've also had the flat bits twist.

This is only good as a backup set for very light use.

It comes with 2x 0.8 Pentalobes, although only 1 of them worked for me as one of them couldn't grip onto the screws - the bits are inconsistent in quality.

Ah okay thank you for confirming! I couldn't see the correct icon in the list of drivers, wish they'd used the correct terminology (e.g. TS1/P2 etc)

And if you have to send it back its to China.

Yes I was haha. Haven’t had that in a kit I bought before.

They've lied to me on numerous occasions as well. The best way to combat this is to tell the seller you wish to return the item because they were dishonest and came from China. The seller will lie and insist it came from the UK even though the parcel will probably be covered in Chinese mail branding. Stand your ground and they will inevitably offer you a reduction but you refuse and eventually on more than most occasions they'll give you a full refund and tell you to keep the product. It's more hassle for them returning it.

If everyone done this it would put an end to their charade. I agree that Ebay don't bother when you point out the fact they claim they're based in the UK but they're registered in China. Most of the goods are cheap fake crap but you should be especially careful of electrical goods. I've had a few things in the past catch fire!

You can also tell it came from China and not the UK due to the length of delivery time stated on the description. For example sending something from Southampton to Edinburgh should not take up to ten days. 3 days max.

On to the product itself. For that price I'd imagine the screwdriver bits are made from very soft cheap metal similar with a consistency of swiss cheese.
