This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

King C. Gillette Double Edge Razor for £13.40 instead of £16 (or £20 regular price). Postage included. I just came across this, was going to buy it at £16, but found a better code: Ignore the code STYLE20 shown on the product page and use STYLE instead, which will lower the regular price to £13.40.

Description:
Experience the classic look, feel and craftsmanship of Gillette’s traditional straight razors combined with 21st century shaving know-how with the King C. Gillette Double Edge Safety Razor. • Metal handle features a patterned surface for enhanced grip and control

Are these typically better than your multiple blade disposable razors?

Infinitely.
The C stands for Camp. Gillettes full name was King Camp Gillette. There ya go. Fun fact.
Trying to rebrand

Anyone know how these blades compare to Feather? Also, assume you can use the feather blades in this? Thanks

DE blades are all the same size so Feathers will fit, don't know how the blades compare to Feathers suppose they'll be the same as every other blade - not as sharp

Feather is a very sharp blade and not for beginners. Start with a mixed, variety pack from eBay to figure out which blades works for your stubble in combination with this razor. Even though DE stuff is standardised, you have to spend some time in discovery.

They are indeed, currently using one in my merkur progress. Used to use them exclusively at one time but prefer Astras now

Astra is also a lot cheaper, typically 100 blades for around £10.
I bought a DE razor about 8 years ago and never looked back. I bought a few packs of feather blades when I was in Abu Dhabi about 6 years ago and I'm still using them now.

This is a great price.

Yep, they're less than half the price of Feathers, imho nearly as sharp and a little more forgiving, I also think they hold their edge a bit longer than Feathers too so it's a no brainer really. I need to order some more (hense why I'm using the feather)

I did almost the same - i was living in Madrid at the time and got the edwin jaeger 89, and a pack of Derby blades - this was about 7 years ago and although I've added Pol blades, feathers and also some rockport blades I got with one of their razors, I still have some derbies left. Excellent go to blades.
Not tried these gillette ones though but would recommend any DE system/blades over any of the cartridge systems.
Lol

It is a matter of practice like most other things. Plenty of very good videos on YouTube that can help.

I looked I bit like this when I tried a DE would like to give it another go though

Let the razor do the work.

Handy guide, appreciate it

i found that they purely teach you how to shave properly as they are not forgiving. Use the same technique on a cartridge shaver and get similar results but then why when cartridge razors blades are more money for the same result. I have gone electric now and get nearly as good results and no chance of a cut.

I remember my dad coming out of the bathroom looking like this as a kid but thought I knew better and bought all the best DE holders and blades and I looked exactly like this, I now have two very nice and expensive handles for decoration in the bathroom.

Even my selection pack of all the world's best blades get used to slash bread before baking now

Lesson learnt.

I think I ordered the last lot off Amazon but not ordered any for ages. I just order from whichever site is cheapest at the time

I've always used La Barbiera off eBay, a good selection and they do sample packs. Notice they've got a website now but not used it.

e.g. ebay.co.uk/itm…043

I heard that Amazon have restricted sales on these type of blades, hence why there aren't many on there - and when they are, they are more expensive.
These blades are sharp! Just a heads up.
Such a good shave from a double edge razor and for a fraction of the price of the usual supermarket offering. You'll never look back.
Thanks for posting and a belated welcome to hotukdeals; we have added this to the Highlights section
Beautiful razor, I have a functional looking Merkur 34C

How does this compare say to the Edwin Jagger?

I have an Edwin jagger its amazing when combined with decent shaving cream like Taylor of old bond Street and would consider anything else
When you first start make sure to use it after having a bath / soaking your face. It will glide over. After that just take your time and you will be fine. After years I've used mine in a rush with a crappy bar of soap countless times.
I dont trust myself to use one of these on my head . I'll look like something out of a horror movie .
Have been using a DE Razor for over 10 years now. Never looked back. For cabin baggage I take an old Gillette sensor excel (2 blades).

I never bought into this multi blade marketing. Give me 1 or 2 sharp blades rather than 3,4,5 inferior blades. Why do I need to pass 5 blades over my skin when 1 can do the job better?
CRAP.
How does it compare to Edward Scissorhands?
Are these difficult to get used to, I've been considering for a while but when I watch the videos I just bottle it
At that price it's tempting to buy as a travel razor - if we could ever travel and need to shave again!
