Azor Handle & three blades for £1.62 (IN WHITE), the black one was still at £4.99, good value i think. This may be store specific (i found these at Tesco Roneo corner.

I know these have been posted before for approx £2.44, but at this price i think its worth it, 54p a Blade!!

It's a good razor. I prefer it to the fusion that i had.

Original Poster

I hope so, i was actually looking to buy the Fusion £8.99 deal posted here, but everywhere ive tried has run out of them.

Good deal, bought one of these (in black) from asda last week for £3, good razor! Prefere it 2 the wilkinson sword I had before. Mine only came with 2 blades tho

i tried a sample of this razor but found it wouldn't shave properly under my nose

I agree, you may need to re- mortgage your house to buy a Fusion but at least it performs a good shave, I find that these are too big to get in under the nose and arnt much cop.

yep i have the same problem so i use a single blade just to finish off under the nose, otherwise i love my azor.

Are they selling them cheap because they missed the 'R' off ???

Don't know their Rs from their elbow.
Great price for a great razor, wish there was a Tesco at hand :x

I had trouble with it leaving those little nostril moustaches to start with but found if I just push the end of my nose sideways a bit, away from the side I want to trim, it does a perfect job. I know all noses and beards are different but it works for me.

Not voted but this is the worst razor I've ever used in my life, worth gambling at this price just so you don't waste too much money on it. If you want a good cheap razor get the wilkinson sword quatro, which is always on offer at boots.

This is definitely a problem, and I don't think it shaves as good as my powered fusion. It's a good razor, but not a Fusion

I bought one after a deal cropped up on here a few months back... I must be one of the lucky ones, because its been absolutely fine for me... Blades last longer than the gilette ones seem to these days as well.

Funny I think the fusion has the same problem. The heads are to big to shave under the nose properly.

Yeah these are really good (r)azors for a good all-round shave, they don't irritate or draw too much blood! -but they aren't much cop at 'detail' work. I use the azor then 'finish off' the tricky parts with my older Fusion.
I stocked up on these when they were £2 at Asda.
Nice find.

It's very comfortable to use and requires very little effort, but if you have any kind of facial hair like a goatee then forget it! The head on these things is so large you can't see what you're doing around facial hair you want to avoid shaving and I even struggled to judge where my sideburns ended.

It also doesn't get quite as close as my Mach 3 (got a Fusion for xmas I haven't tried yet).

I used to use a Wilkinson Sword Diamond FX and it had the closer shave than the Mach 3 but they seemed to have poor QC and one blade in every pack would have to be binned because it would just nick me.

Good deal but having used these for about 3 months i will be going back to Gilette, these just don't shave as close.

yes they are very square almost shaving with a brick springs to mind

These are terrible. Avoid. Bought it in tescos just before xmas for about £2.50, just use a Mach 3.

I've used one for about a year, no probs for me. Convinced my Dad to change to this as well and he's happy with it.

might give it a go. good find!

Shaving under your nose with this is impossible!! and if you have more than a couple of days growth you have no chance.
I have kept minefor the moment, I keep meaning to email this so called "king of shaves" and complain about it.

I'm back on the mach 3 fusion now. it can handle anything.... ANYTHING.

bought one of these last year as Which magazine was raving about them, they are bloomin awful,

wouldnt take the skin off a rice pudding,

awkward to reach around your nose, and a poor shave - better off using a banana!

i shaved with this, then after went over with my gilette and the gilette was still taking hair off

avoid at all costs these are useless (imo)

Nasty razors. I bought this when the offer was on at Sainsbury's a few months back and I still have all the spare blades left over as I refuse to use it. The worst part about it is the rubberised neck (the bit that connects the actual razor handle to the blades). It's so springy, you feel the need to push even harder to get it to do an almost good a job as a Fusion. As others have said, the blade area is rather large too. It's a gamble trying to shave around areas which you normally need to be careful with - such as sideburns.

I'm currently using the Fusion at the moment, but once the blades are used - I'm switching to the cut throat that I have. I've never had a closer shave with that, and the blades I use work out to just under 12p each. That is for premium blades. I can also buy blades for around 10p each. No way am I paying ridiculous sums of money for Gillette ever again.

The blades for the Azor are cheapish, but IMO they don't do a very good job.

Yup, same nose issues here.

King of Shaves? Sorry but as far as this razor is concerned it's King Useless!!

Each to their own I guess!! I bought one of these earlier this year as an alternative to gillette and I haven't looked back. Much prefer them to the mach 3 or fusion.

British design and manufactured too.

I used Azor for about 6 months, mostly because I hated giving Gilette so much money for mach 3 cartridges. I couldn't get the razor to shave under my nose properly, and I found I got through the blades a lot quicker than with a mach 3. Azor blades might be cheaper per pack but it probably works out the same when I was getting through a blade a week.

I bought a second Azor razor in a special offer and found it was a lot springier than the previous one - one of the design 'features' is a flexible neck but it was just too flexible. As a result it was impossible to shave closely. I've just gone back to my Mach 3 and much prefer it.

Give it a try, at this price it's worth a go. You can always chuck it away.

I wanted to try one of these after I saw the add and largely because I'm a big fan of their King of Shaves clear shaving gel.

I have a goatee as mentioned earlier so I need to see what I'm doing when I shave - impossible with foam! This razor contradicts their shaving gel completely!

A lot of disagreement (though it would seem the majority dislike it) but everyone has a unique face with different curves

Gillete claim the Fusion, that I have yet to try) has a longer lifespan (I'd hope so with the price of the blades!) but I'm not convinced. It says up to 3 months... I'm guessing that's if you only shave once a week?!

Hi all,
I tried this without too much success, like previous posters have said, the head seems a little large
for the nose area. Still a good price to take a punt on though:)
My razor of choice after speaking to an old fashioned barber is a Merkur 33c, a traditional safety razor, close shave every time after a week or so learning how to use it;-)

With the amount of money you will spend on toilet paper to stop the bleeding from these things, you'd be as well buying a Fusion.

By far one of the worst shaves i have EVER had with a razor and that includes using a Bic.

I thought I was the only one this affected. :-D

This is my back up razor. It's an ok razor, certainly no Fusion. My local Tesco has both the white and black at this offer. It's been this price before. I bought mine in Tesco couple of months back when this offer was last on.

Cheap but crap razors

i got one of these when they first came out as a free promotion. took a while to get used to it, and the under-nose area is definitely an issue, but then used it for months and months and was happy enough.

then i went away for a few days and forgot to pack it. borrowed my brother's mach 3 and instantly noticed how much better his razor was! i got the closest shave i'd had in months and it was so much more comfortable. as soon as i used up my remaining azor blades, i switched back to the mach 3 and have never gone back since!

Comfortable handle, but if you don't use it every day then it's quite a painful shave, the rubber bit drags on the hair! I've no idea why it's got so many blades either, only the 1st 2 make contact with your beard and like everyone says it is very difficult to get under your nose! I'll be getting rid as soon as I've run out of blades. Back to disposable Gillettes'.

Banned

I've been using one for a while and really like it. I found the blades last for ages, longer than the Mach 3. Great price, heat added.

+1

I can't bear to agree with the slogan "Gillette... the best a man can get" and I've been fighting it for the last six months trying this and that, but you know, I think it is. This thing I have already tried and I have to say I found it one of the worst shaves I have ever had.

You think "Ooh, that's novel, supporting the blade at either end" but once you have shaved with it you realise why everyone else supports their blade in the centre.

I haven't encoldened though as it is so cheap you can find out for yourself if you like.

I agree with jonny, my m8 got me a lot of free blades for this razor working for a display company, I went and bought the razor to fit the blades. Excellent, closest shave you will get but always misses just under my nose so have to give that some with the electric.

Looks like a tongue scraper.... and shaves about as well :?

Would never use another if they were GIVING them away !

voted cold as it is a bit rubbish if you have a tough beard.

Funny, I got one of these for christmas and I was pretty impressed. Hate the fusion and the quatro, usually just go with a mach3, but i might move onto this when I run out of blades.
