This razor got a great review in this months Which mag. so thought I would buy at the reduced price of £3.25, normally £4.88. Thats over 30 % saving, not huge savings but enough to give it a try. Which say:
The four-blade Azor from King of Shaves looks more like a tuning fork than a razor but it delivers a close and comfortable shave at a reasonable price. Rather than a pivoting head, the Azor reaches the nooks and crannies of your face by the blade cartridge being fitted to a flexible rubber head, a bit like a bendy-toothbrush. It comes with three replacement blades. There is a version in black (Warp), white (Polar) and limited-edition red (Rari).

use this shaver all the time and find it very good though the blades don't last as long as they stated on their website (I get no where near 20 shaves)

as with all razor deals, they sell the razors cheap to commit you to buying the blades

it includes a £1 voucher off you next purchase of blades. i find them quite good

I use these all the time fantastic razor. Heat and Rep added.

Nice one. Could be used in Boots on their 3 for 2 offer for all KOS products.

how many potatoes can you peel with it though?

anyways, these seem sort of hard to control for small bits like the single blade on gilette fusion - is it 'accurate' or more good for coverage?

Got one of these free a while back they were gicving them away , only used it once absoloutely rubbish

This was the worst and most painful shave of my life. I actually think the old single blade Bic razors were better than the Azor.

It was so bad I sent it back to KOS along with the blades and demanded a refund.

wow mixed reviews on this

i had mine and to be honest, it beats the best wilkinson sword, and the mach 3 / fusion

best thing about it is the blades last longer, and it doesnt hurt when shaving.

I find it much better than my Gilette Fusion Power Turbo Stealth Winning Sexy Neon Stipey. Once you get used to holding it slightly differently its much more logical and the flex in the neck makes it shave much better.

Its not fiddly at all, it has multiple blades like other razors.

its comfortable to hold when shaving but like others found that it was a damn sore shave and it cut my neck to shreds

i got one of these free when they launched, sadly i didn't find it all that great left bad rash on neck and i missed the single blade on the back of the fusion.

its not as good as the mach 3. i really did want to break the gillette monopoly as well

every razor i use gives me shaving rash most of the time. the one i use now is wilkinson sword quatrro. seems a bit better than gillete. but i use kos gel which has helped a lot and is lovely.

are these worth a punt over my w/sword?

WORST RAZOR IVE EVER USED !! - and that includes BIC - Made my face sore, cut me to shreds and to be honest, i didnt even find it comfortable to use....plus no power option so IMHO these are garbage.

If they were giving them away i would probably have them as emergency back ups, but wouldnt pay anything for them, awful things

Used it for a few weeks or so then went back to the Original Gillette Mach 3, a world of difference.
It feels plasticky and odd to shave with, cant recommend it

I've found it to be a pretty good razor - does feel a bit odd at first but gives a very smooth shave. Agree that the single blade on gilettes is a good idea, but with a bit of practice you can achieve the same result with this. Also the kinexium shave oil I can't recommend enough; beats the hell out of any gel or foam.

I use the king of shave gel with this razor. Best razor I've ever used.

This is indeed a great Razor.

I use these and find them excellent overall. No complaints here.

forgot to add the blade is abit big to get that damn annoying spot under your nose lol

left me looking like Hitler lol

I use this razor and have to say a think it's alright.

Have to agree with other reviews that the one blade on the back (fusion) is a big miss.

But it still is a decent shave.

I think I got 2 or 3 extra blades with mine

Good razor, nowhere near as bad razor burn compared to Gilette mach 3.

Blades aren't too pricey compared to the Gilette ones either which makes a nice change

Gillette has been the industry leader for several decades now. Quite hard to beat them

I got one of these when they were first launched and think it's the worst razor i've ever used! It cut my face to shreds leaving me looking like i was attacked by someone with a knife and left a rash that lasted for a few days. It was also awkward and painful to use and felt cheap and too light.

I emailed KOS and they basically called me a liar and told me that they haven't received any negative feedback for their 'amazing invention'. I did some searching at the time and found out they didnt even invent the blades, they're purchased for a chineese manufacturer who created them years ago.

If your going to use this razor be prepared for the bathroom to look like a scene from a horror movie afterwards.

lol this is turning into the marmite of the shaving world

I find it quite good, the first shave with a new blade can give you few cuts if you're careless but I've never had any cuts from this razor. Also, there's a £1 off voucher in the pack, and in Boots a replacement set of 4 blades are on 3 for 2 (can combine with KOS products and other men's toiletries).... good deal!

I think your right about that because after my horrible experience my Dad used it and loves it. I think it depends on skin type.

The differences it could be down to the shaving oil/foam/gel you use with it, I use their magnetic gel stuff (last ages too) and it works brilliantly with it rarely getting a cut or rash. However if I use foam it cuts me to pieces.

i love the Azor!!!!

Gives a really good shave, blades last longer than the Mach's and W Swords!

As someone pointed out earlier, oil is the best (IMO). I've always used foam/gel but was put onto shaving oil a few years ago and have never looked back.

Recently, just to remind myself of the difference, I oiled up one side of my face and used Gillette gel on the other side and shaved each side with the same razor. The difference was unbelievable - the gel was fine but gave a little razor-burn in places but the oil-side shave was effortless and actually felt like the blade was just floating across my skin without cutting the hair.

I'm just amazed that it's never overtaken gel/foam....maybe it's the price for such a small bottle? The thing is, if used correctly, one bottle lasts months.

painful, cut me, back to gillette

Yeah its ok for shaving the chin and face but rubbish on the angles and fiddly bits, i.e. around the neck and above the upper lip.

horrible horrible razor. I'd rather pull each individual hair out with tweezers than use one of these again. My own personal opinion obviously!!!

Haha, I agree completely.

Other than that though it's a great razor. Can't understand why people would think it's rubbish. I think it may be due to the fact that it's very sharp, and you have to get used to shaving with it.

In a word RUBBISH.... the head is WAY too large, and the general shave is awful, 20 years behind "Mach 3" and before you think Im biased, I cannot afford M3 any more.... Ive gone back to "DE shaving".... thats razor blades, and safety razor !

Rooster#1;4918147

You can still buy them??

if you have thick stubble, and dark hair... don't bother with this. I bought it as I was turning away from my braun electric shaver, and this was absolutely horrid. My face was just a bloody mess.... Now I am back to my gilette mach 3, and i have learnt to live with painful shaving.

Worst razor i've ever used, even disposable supermarket own brands are better than these , even my blunt mach3 blades perform better than this.

I've not use this make of razor but a quick tip for razor users is to dry your razor blades after shaving.
A Razor blades dullness stems more from oxidation than from contact with whiskers.
Water that sits on blades between shaves causes it.
Use toilet paper to really dry the blade and you'll be amazed at how many shaves you'll get out of a single blade.

Never knew that! Good tip and thanks for it! I'll have a go at the oil too, see what it's like.

As for my take on the razors, because I think the blades are too expensive I buy ASDA own brand razors that come in the sealed pack of 3. They have 3 blades and shave like a Mach 3 IMO. Plus at about £3 for 3 they're cheap enough to just buy new razors every time.

When my bathroom's done I'm gonna go for a cut throat. Always wanted to at least try one.
