Good price, preordered. Always wanted to play chain of memories

As above, pre-ordered, many thanks!

does this come with the artbook?

It doesn't fill me with a whole lot of confidence when the title on the Amazon page says:

Kingdon Hearts 1.5: Limited Edition (PS3)

Yes
kingdomhearts.com/UK/

Cancelled my Shopto preorder and gone with Amazon. Cheers.

Excellent price, will try and flubit close to the release though if it holds in price.

Was waiting for this for ages! Was always gutted when I saw Play-Asia having it for £70+, but I JUMPED at this! Hot and thanks OP

thanks

Sweeeeeeeet!

Think I will have to get this pre ordered. It will probably drop in price fast but £25 is still a great price for a masterpiece

Ahhh Kingdom Hearts.

It all started so well, then KH 2 came along and confused everyone, then they brought out plenty of different games on different formats that are all part of the main story, and nobody knows just what the hell is happening anymore.

Not too impressed.

I thought it was going to be
KH1+KH2+KH:COM+358/2 days+KH:BBS

It's actually
KH1 : Final mix - just a few extra cutscenes? - Played KH1 on PS2
+KH:COM - Played it on GBA
KH:358/2 days - story doesnt look interesting

Can somebody asked for matchprice by other websites? This one seems a bit suspicious to me

Here OP it's worth putting you get the art book in the description. I just checked to see what was different and this really is a cracking deal as they have stated there is only a limited run of limited edition versions. Question now is, do you open it? Lol

I know exactly what is going on lol, it's a bit confusing at first but not impossible to get the story. Especially once you have played them all.

I wasn't really confused by KH2 though, even though there was a massive gap due to chain of memories it did well to explain itself. It helped that after playing KH2 I went and played COM however you didn't NEED to if you just wanted the base story.

Which part you confused about?

While true, I expected all of them BUT that would of taken forever and probably wouldn't come out until next year. Even though they are separating it to make more money I am still happy as a fan as I get to replay the games again sooner with the added extras of Final Mix

Also, 358/2 days has a lot of story...that I wouldn't want to miss but then I love Roxas as a character too. The game was great. It will be interesting to see how much of the story they include and how well they do it oh and Xion! such a sad story.

thanks ordered

I get the feeling the actual game will get some separate entry on Amazon and this entry will quietly be forgotten, with all orders hanging indefinitely - which has happened to me before on some suspiciously cheap and low-on-detail preorder entries on Amazon.

No image and no description. I'm sure it's fine, but I'd like to see what I'm buying

Going to hold out for something more official looking.

Adding Kingdom Hearts 2 would take them like 2 seconds because all it does is run the native PS2 emulator with an upscaler and maybe if we're lucky some new textures (although even that I doubt considering the gameplay footage).

Quite frankly the only reason I'm considering getting this is because of the smallest Kingdom Hearts artbook in existance that comes with this. Everything else can be done just as well on an emulator.

I still think it would take a while as it looks like they are really polishing this, I doubt you could get it looking this good and error free on an emulator but maybes I am wrong and if so then why would it take them this long to remake these two games. I think they are definitely giving it more work than what an emulator would do. In my opinion.

I'm getting the game as I am huge fan of the series and I have to have it! Replaying it again in smoother graphics and all the final mix bonuses is huggggge for me. I'd pay for it again just for the final mix parts, even if the graphics where exactly as they where in the ps2 lol. I was looking into importing Final Mix before but the first one is only in japanese so it was pointless.

It's probably the only series where I would pay again, for the same game with a few extras.

I would go with Amazon but I remember the MGS HD Collection debacle. I'll pay the extra £2 to get it by launch day.

Where do you recommend to get it on launch day?

Actually it's fully recompiled, textures were all upscaled before compilation and a post processing filter was added. They re-voiced all of the games; jesse mccartney (Roxas' voice actor) confirmed as much. All the audio (SFX and music) has also been reworked and compression is much nicer now and the surround sound more accurate.
Controls were also updated so they're more inline with Kingdom hearts 2 (using R and L for camera as in the original version feels very dated)
Oh, and the prerendered cutscenes have been re-rendered and look beautiful in HD.

Final Mix isn't just extra scenes, it also has new Heartless, weapons, abilities. More cutscenes, Gummi Ship missions, new Ansem Reports, and a new secret movie.
Also final mix added the option to skip cutscenes, to anyone who has ever played an RPG and had to watch 20 mins of cutscenes every time they died at a certain point, this is a godsend.
This also fixes the only missable in game (a trinity point in halloween town that can't be got after finishing the world for the first time).

To say this isn't a decent upgrade - even for those like myself who have already played KH, KH: RE: Com and 358/2 days, is just plain wrong.

Completely agree with all your points. I'm very excited for the game and cheers. I might have to open a new account if I go with shopto. I moved house and their system is annoying it won't let me get a delivery until I get a few more games sent to my old address...which is just silly lol.

Shopto. You'll either get it a day or two before launch, or on release day. Amazon tend to post the game on release day so you get it the following Monday/Tuesday.

The amazing thing about this remix is that it was only done by two Square employees (I'm limiting this statement to the native Japanese version, obviously).

Hoping they'll next do 2, Birth by Sleep and that 3DS installment. That's got to be all of the KH games by that point, surely?

I think if they include coded it will be in the form of video like 358/2 days.

I'd love to play Birth By Sleep on the ps3! it was great on PSP but big screen would be cool. I LOVED the board game in that and loved the fact u could actually level your skills up by playing it

As good as it will be to get DDD, for any fan who hasn't played it. I'd kinda feel a bit annoyed to see it so soon re-released lol, but I certainly wouldn't complain. This series gets my money, until it goes bad...which I hope never happens

Yup - I imagine KH 2.5 will be KH2, BBS, cutscenes from Coded and they'll skip DDD since it's such a recent release. Cutting it down to you only needing a PS3 and a 3DS will make them all a lot more accessible for everyone!

This was a weird release, it was originally a mobile game and then it came out on the DS as RE:Coded...I seen it one day in a store...yes IN A STORE!! (rare for me I always shop online). I started screaming at my friend saying "WHAT...wtf is this, when did this come out and how the hell did I not know about a new KH GAME!!!"...

So it was a very weird one, I don't think it got marketed like the others as I usually know everything KH related that is due out lol. Anyways I eventually got it and I think it is great. Some say it helps the story a bit but I don't think it matters that much, you could easily live without it imo however the game is extremely fun! It has a massive system built in. The best way I can describe it is like the sphere grid from Final Fantasy X if you ever played that.

You can make the game extremely challenging by adjusting this as you can enable modes where you reduce your HP dramatically in order to receive more rewards...and if you do it too much...it's crazy hard. There is also different modes in the game, for most of it you fight like normal but some worlds you can fight with a different system for instance one world you go to you actually fight like a turn based RPG with extra action elements...and I loved it, though you can not beat the default gameplay of KH games.
