Although the Tesco.com site is advertising this as BOGOF from tomorrow and currently has the price at £1.00, it doesn't follow that this bread will be £1.00 and BOGOF.

Tesco have a habit of bumping the price up when they put things on BOGOF and I wouldn't be surprised if they do it in this case.

Okay, thanks for putting me straight. No doubt this is a very good deal if you buy this bread.

Very hot, heat given, although Kingsmill isnt the nicest bread in the world! For people who enjoy it, bargain!

subhanAllah....50p for a loaf of bread....this is cheaper than in many poorer nations....

voted hot as the usual price is £1.20+

its a nice bread, great deal

This is a good price for a decent loaf.

I hope Tesco will have more than their usual dozen or so on the shelves

The deal would be hot if the bread is fresh, but my normal experience of Tesco is that almost all the sliced bread is so hard, you can build houses out of it. The exception is Warburtons (for me, as the bakery is local), but this is much more expensive. It doesn't matter how cheap it is if it's not fresh.

its already BOGOF at £1 - it doesn't start tomorrow - i got some - it was from 29th - but i know what you mean, they changed prices around Christmas time, but this one is right

is it only the Thick loaf please?

This deal is TOASTING

Get yourself a breadmaking machine. Ingredients cost about 20p per loaf & it actually tastes like bread (unlike kingsmill etc).

i use a breadmaker - but can't make them that cheap - where do you buy the ingredients oO

20p, no way? How can it taste like bread if you buy the cheapest supermarket value brands. Still have my doubts you can do it for 20p and what about electricity. You talking c**p!!!

In view of the stupid comments, I worked it out.
Tesco strong white bread flour - 12.5p per loaf
Butter - 6p per loaf
Yeast - tiny fraction of 1p
Salt - tiny fraction of 1p
Sugar - tiny fraction of 1p
Water- free
Electricity - 2p
Total - 20.5p

Looks like its 'You talking c**p!!!'

i wasn't meaning to make stupid comments - i was asking how you make it so cheap - i use my breadmaker vertually every day - but can't make a loaf that cheap. I use the yeast sachets maybe that bumps up the cost, certainly the salt and sugar are hardly anything - but i spend more than 6p on butter and the flour - i was just interested on saving some money - thought thats what the site was about, i wasn't questioning your quote oO

I got 2 of these a few days ago,
was loads in kirkcaldy store
