Seems good reviews for the price, even people who have had issues say that after sales service good - would always keep a backup anyway..

What a random number of gigabytes
Enough for OS and some programs. I would probably recommend 500gb+ at this stage but if you can't afford it this is a good option for speedy startup and browsing etc.
Hot thanks, risking it at this price
Thanks have some heat, bought the 64GB version for £21.24 for an old 17" laptop for my GF to use for internet as the hard drive would often cause the laptop to crash.
Dealt with this brand before, alright.

Good price for this one, but you get what you pay in this case.

My guess might be that these are 250GB drives which have failed flash memory, sold to someone else to relabel and sell cheap?

Most SSDs are overprovisioned slightly, so these could be 192GB with 7% overprovision.
Is the seller Del Boy.
For its price, there is no better deal out atm. This is good for backup SSD or for cheaper laptop, old computer.
Got 4 starts from reviewers. Not that bad. Amazon return warranty. What else we want.

Could be. But some of the new HP laptop's are now coming with 360gb SSD's. It says 3D TLC NAND on the Amazon advert, I wonder who started making it in these capacities recently?

180GB SSDs have been around for quite a while, it was a common size for Intel but not many other manufacturers.

"backup SSD" that`s a bit above my income bracket, i stick to 5400 HDD for backups.

how long have you had it running and are you using it as an os drive?
Just installed one of these 180GB drives in my main desktop PC as main OS drive oddly enough ... (Windows 10 x64 insider stuff)!

Works damn good so far .. used Macrium Reflect to clone the previous Crucial 128 drive.

Time will tell of course , so far so good though!!

Yeah I think so, it will be on a none mission critical machine (old laptop) and if it does go pop can revert to HDD and send it back to amazon. Hopefully it just works though.
