On back order, due 4 February. Just ordered for my itzoo Elitedesk 800 (don't assume it will work, I've found conflicting reports though will use it elsewhere if not).

Kingston’s A400 solid-state drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, loading and transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Powered by a latest-gen controller for read and write speeds of up to 500 MB/s and 450 MB/s¹, this SSD is 10x faster than a traditional hard drive¹ for higher performance, ultra-responsive multi-tasking and an overall faster system. Also more reliable and durable than a hard drive, A400 is built with Flash memory. There are no moving parts, making it less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive. It is also cooler and quieter and its shock and vibration resistance makes it ideal for notebooks and other mobile computing devices. A400 is available in multiple drive form factors and capacities from 120 GB-1.92 TB² to give you all the space you need for applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard drive or a smaller SSD with a drive big enough to hold all your files. This SSD is designed for use in desktop and notebook computer workloads and is not intended for server environments. 1.Based on out-of-box performance using a SATA Rev. 3.0 motherboard. Speed may vary due to host hardware, software and usage. 2.Some of the listed capacity on a flash storage device is used for formatting and other functions and is thus not available for data storage. As such, the actual available capacity for data storage is less than what is listed on the products.

  • Fast start-up, loading and file transfers
  • More reliable and durable than a hard drive
  • Multiple capacities with space for applications or a hard drive replacement

Amazon price maches with Ebuyer most of the time, so this is their listing error. Just felt like to share.
Voted hot for the finding OP. Worth a try though.
Ebuyer 120GB for the same price.

Thanks looks like a great price compared to cheaper drives.

It's the SA400M8/120G

See the item details / specifications.

Happened last year - received 120GB instead of 240GB. Amazon refunded me & i kept the item 😬

(If you order - take a few screenshots )

It seems like a pricing/listing error, as per the technical details more signaling to be 120GB whereas title for 240GB.
SA400M8/120G. Other seller like CCL on Amazon selling it for £23.62 (it's £22.54 on their main website). Good price if for 240GB, heat added whatever the case be. They've got this (Click me) from same link as above for £34.99 for 240GB.

Hey - what did you tell amazon to keep the item? Didn't they send you a return label?

Rather than a return/refund - I said i'd prefer a part refund - as essentially only received half the capacity. They agreed but had some issue & ended up refunding the whole amount.

Got lucky perhaps - but worth asking if 120gb turns up
It's a gamble, but I'll take it!

Would this work in a Samsung galaxy book 12?
Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 months. (which is highly unlikely)

Even with Prime

Is this sata or nvme

uses M.2 socket but only runs at SATA speed. you can tell in the listed speeds for the drive any drive 600mbps or lower is SATA, even a bottom end NVME is a LOT faster than 600mbps. That said you won't notice a huge difference in most tasks just especially disk IO heavy ones, which aren't all that common....

Let us know what you get!
Thanks Op.

I’ve ordered a couple to use in my NAS to get me round the first world problem of a slight delay when streaming from it.

If they don’t come, they don’t. If they do, bonus!

Cheers

to answer my own question, if you search within this page for "2280 SATA M.2" you can cycle through the models
laptopmedia.com/lap…st/
TL:DR almost none of them

Still £20.92 for Prime customers. Just got the page up by clicking on the full list of sellers, and then the 240Gb box itself, which gave me the cheaper priced option.
Bought this exact 240 model for 18 pounds last time so not that great of a bargain but better price then most noname drives

Sorry chaps, just got a 120GB. Rang Amazon and complained, but the best they could do is a return with a £5 voucher added to my account.

Not a complete loss..

TL;DR Your NAS needs to have the m2 slots for these drives.

I have a Synology DS918+ which has two slots for these. You can add them for quicker access to the storage pool.

I believe it uses some kind of witchcraft to cache your read/write content so it’s accessed and written quicker to the NAS

As I said, mine isn’t that laggy when starting to stream and it’s definitely filed under ‘first world problem’ but at the price of this deal it’s worth a punt.

Don't know as I never ended up using it, but most likely within a second of every other Sata Ssd on the market.

I’ve had an update saying mine will be dispatched between 18th February and 6th March.

Would be good to know what size you end up with please!

Mine too, coming tomorrow. Suspect it will be the 120GB as others have predicted and it seems at least one person had. However, happy to give it a punt. Worse case if it's 120GB I will ask for 50% refund as it's only half capacity, anything less and they can have it back as I don't really want such a small drive but would make do for 50% off....

Sad that I missed this

You haven't, it keeps coming back in and out of stock intermittently, currently available to order but with 1-2 month wait (potentially, they often bring delivery forward if they get stock).

Will probably be a 120GB though, so how good the deal is will most likely depend how generous the CS agent you speak to is feeling....
