I posted this as an alternative at a cheaper price.

It is a mini usb drive with both a standard USB and a micro USB connector so it can be plugged straight into phones and tablets which support OTG.

Some might argue that you can just buy a 99p adapter cable but I like the fact that it is one less thing to carry and it hardly adds a big premium to the price at these prices.

32GB is over £10 so free delivery - so just £13.35 all in.
16GB is under £10 so you'd need to add something else or use one of the pre-order work arounds to get free delivery.

Hope it helps someone.

Also available on the same links direct from Amazon for £12.06 for the 32GB and £7.19 for the 16GB but the delivery is 2-5 weeks.

Update --- now £6.88 for the 16GB and £12.88 for the 32GB

It is but delivery is 2 - 5 weeks from Amazon
thanks. ordered the 32gb from Amazon for £12.06p but delivery says April 15th. Doubt I will have to wait that long, but I'm in no hurry

For anyone else the links are the same to buy direct from Amazon but the price is £12.06 but you have to wait (maybe makes the deal hotter )

The 16GB is £7.19 from Amazon with the 2-5 week delivery.
I can live with two weeks as they normally deliver faster. Especially as I bought an OTG cable a few weeks back because these were more expensive then.

Good plan - thanks for pointing it out - have added to the main post so people can choose.

Thanks
hot, that looks really handy to have around - looks very prone to snapping off the microUSB if left in but has a lil lanyard so can be kept dangling from phone when not in use.

seems my galaxy camera supports OTG too - waiting for an OTG cable to arrive to test but if so seems a great way of transferring files between it and my moto G without draining battery

Just FYI if you have a spare micro SD card lying around you can get a card reader with the same size and function as this (micro and full size usb) bought one off eBay for under £2 which is currently serving me well.

Thanks for the info, looks good as an option if you have spare cards but if you don't have a spare card then it would cost more and you wouldn't get the Kingston quality.

Christ, can't believe what these phone manufactures make us do... they removed the microSD slot and now we are crippling our phones using external ugly things like this...
Just bought at £12.06 and already have confirmation it's been dispatched.
Yet another useful creative innovative invention from China! I must have spent tens of pounds just on those £1-2 his and that , micro, mini, female, male, adapters/converters/OTG that are simply not easily found in shops.
these get hot very quickly! If you're a heavy user, I would not recommend.
What a great idea!
I'm always copying new ROMs to try on my Note 2 from my PC. This will make it much easier. Thanks for the post. Never knew these existed!

How much does the micro usb stick out? I'm using a case on my phone and I'm wondering if it will fit with the case on. I'm using a nexus 5 with the neo hybrid case.

Be candid, they crippled one of few key function in computer architecture called storage. So inconvenient when using an add on with a protective, fancy case too. An utter malpractice as bad as the huge number of mains chargers and connectors which the EU outlawed.
Or order one of these 'Meenova MicroSD Card Reader' for $15 (£9).

If you are going for a reader you might as well risk a cheap one from ebay as a previous poster mentioned...

Rather lame to post the same product at the same price though especially as both are from the same link on Amazon!
