Very low entry drive (Up to 100 MB/s read; 70 MB/s write), something like the WD Scoripo 7200rpm drive will beat it in terms of speed.

Will this work on on non-SATA laptop if used as an external drive?

only on sustained writes which are rare on a lappy, and the wd will halve most lappies battery life whereas this will double it.

yup but a bit of a expensive flash drive.

Thanks. I should have realised that too. I was looking for a bigger flash drive to connect to my router because I don't like the noise of LAN harddrives.

i have just bought an ssd over a hard drive, battery life battery no vibration at all from lappy and no noise, they are a tad expensive mind you
