Is this really a USB 3.1 drive? I have a motherboard with both USB 3.0 ports which have the blue colour inside the port connectors (my USB 3.0 devices have the same blue colouring on their USB port/cable); and the motherboard also has the new USB 3.1 connectors but they have a teal colouring to the ports. The picture of this drive advertised as USB 3.1 has the blue colouring of USB 3.0

.

Thanks. I had a feeling the USB 3.1 in the title was mistaken. Looking at some of the reviews on that page, it seems the drives write speed is from USB 2.0. It seems Kingston are having a tough job on pitching this drive correctly

?

I have had two of these pos and both had read write failures with in a week fine for small xfers slow as hell I would recommend any other 128gb pen based on my experience. I ended up returning both of them. as of now I'm just sticking with sandisk pens as they have been trust worthy for me , just my experience haven't voted but yeah be aware

Posting a USB flash drive NEVER warrants a simple response on HUKD.

There's not much to say about a USB flash drive. For the price this is a perfectly good drive.

3.1 will be eclipsed by thunderbolt. The future is bright.

Not liking the sound of that as I have one as storage on the xbox plus just had one of their 32Gb DTM30's go Write Proteced over and over till I have given up on it.

The performance of these isn't that great and surprisingly poor for sequential single threaded read/writes. Obviously, much faster than USB 2.0 but it's pretty medicore for a USB 3.0 flash drive.

I ran the CrystalDiskMark benchmark on default settings on my SanDisk USB 3.0 flash drive by way of comparison.

There's loads to say about USB flash drives. You're just not very informed!

I've got a pair of 32gb from the same range that I use for drivers and diagnostics and they work a treat I've used the 64gb a lot as well and they were all good just seemed to be the 128. I might have been unlucky but 2x in a row makes me think there a bit um..... balls.

Thanks a lot, was looking for such a cheap drive for ages, to upgrade from my 32 GB flash drive.
