Yes it would, but your speed would be limited to around 500.
I can use the 500GB version in an Orico enclosure.
Deal posted on here for under £9 from Orico on Aliexpress.Arrived in less than 2 weeks.
These Kioxia drives are cracking value for money as they have DRAM cache.

    Good one

The title looks a little bit wrong - it's not SATA based.

Isn't Kingston NV2 for the same price a better deal?

Depends what you want to use it for.

Faster speeds on the Kingston ( for general use probably wouldn't notice much difference between it and the Kioxia)
    No DRAM cache

Review here on 2TB, but does mention about 1TB version.

    Kioxia has 1GB DRAM cache.

If you do a lot of backups, then definitely go for the Kioxia.
My backup times have decreased dramatically from using a Samsung 980 to using a Kioxia.
That DRAM cache makes such a difference!

Crucial P3 is the same price at Amazon and faster

Only less important sequential speeds are faster, random 4k read/writes are better with this Kioxia.
More importantly, the Kioxia is TLC DRAM (the P3 is less durable QLC), and the Kioxia has DRAM-cache (the P3 does not).

Please learn about hardware before making comments like that... (edited)
