UK layout keyboard for use with smartphone, tablet, notepad or desktop computers.

-white keys grey letters, roughly A4 sized, so fits nicely in a zip-up document folder.

- had around half a dozen at my local Sainsbury's (Blackhall, Edinburgh) - now one less!

Will shortly be finding itself paired with my Raspberry Pi!

Seen these on offer online, but not at this price,! - worth checking your local store as once these go 'off catalogue' they just want rid of them!

There's people can grow beards faster than stuff comes from China thoough

- most kit direct from the far east *is* cheaper, but you have to wait, and I for one are never quite sure about the quality until it arrives.

Bought one of these for my android tablet. Pairs easy with tab and also works with emulators uses two AAA batteries and had it a week and so far no problems. Hot from me.

Hey people, all you need to do is NOT buy these and Sainsburys will reduce them to 90% off as they are gradually doing with this range!

Can anyone tell me what bluetooth stack these use? Apparently HTC desires can't accept bluetooth HID keyboards, only SIP, so would be useful to know as I really want one to write with. Thanks!

Is this an official Apple bluetooth keyboard or one of the chinese fakes?

China being where Apple make their keyboards?

It doesn't say its an apple, it says its a keyboard, so calling it a fake is a bit odd when it is not pretending to be anything other than what it is. Apple didn't invent the keyboard, so maybe theirs are fakes too?

It's branded "kit:", ie not Apple

Wouldn't reckon on the chances of many being left by the time the price drops that low!!

It does look an awful lot like the Apple Keyboard, which Apple designed. A similar design = A cheap copy (a fake version of what Apple initially came up with)

Does it have the apple signs and at in the right place (I.e. on the number 2) to be used on a mac?

I saw one yesterday and am pretty sure its a PC keyboard, not a mac one. Not positive, but fairly sure I saw a windows key.

This is clearly an Apple clone. But it is not made by Apple.

You mean like Apple 'designed' all this , but actually copied from Braun in the 60's kind of 'designed'? cultofmac.com/188…ry/

Apple are rip off merchants who jump straight to litigation to keep everyone quiet.

Ipad beaten by 15 yrs, inventor wanted it to be open to everyone, Jobs took the idea and closed it off. youtu.be/JBE…NcI

Why does this have to turn in to an Apple trolling thread *again*

This thread involves a product made by that reliable and well known brand KIT.

By the way: hot OP.

Spot on! But I bought it only cos it was cheap - not because I needed it haha! My source have UK and US warehouses too though, so a lot of other stuff I order from them is posted through Royal Mail and here within a week.

Yes, Apple make their Keyboards in China, well spotted.

The picture listed by the OP is indistinguishable from this, the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, so yes I think my question is a valid one, especially with the RRP quoted in the listing:
http://images.apple.com/euro/keyboard/images/hero_2.jpg

At which point did I say Apple created the keyboard, you are making yourself look very stupid.

There were already slim KBs, there were already metal KBs, there were already KBs with white keys. Like the iphone, apple merely made current technologies more mainstream so that to many they appear to have invented them.

But this is not purporting itself to be an apple keyboard, so it is not a fake. Perhaps the word you were looking for was clone? Which again it isn't, as it doesn't even have any of the apple specific keys because it is not being sold as an apple keyboard. At best it follows similar design patterns to a device made popular by apple, but nobody has ever said it is an apple device.

anyone know if this is regional ?

I checked Sainsbury's Exeter (alphington cross) store this morning, no sign of these. I don't doubt the deal, just wanting to save someone else a trip.

The keyboard is nothing like the picture - its not metal or a metal finish, its an off white plastic.
the picture should be removed - thanks for a wasted trip.

Still £35 in mine, and I can confirm it is not metallic.

Handy bit of kit, and being Bluetooth the spec mandates it encrypts your keystrokes. Combined with the frequency hoping Bluetooth uses you can be fairly sure no one is going to be watching your keystrokes

Not sure what you mean by that, unless they've relisted at full price - generally stock like this is marked down until it's all gone (they've still got some of the 99p chargers I listed from a couple of months back!)

do you have a barcode? sonI can call my local sainsburys.

Not sure if these are still in stock elsewhere, but just grabbed the last two at Sainsburys Orbital in Cannock, they both scanned at £3.49 each. Well worth trying to find one at this price. Just paired them to iPads and a ps3. Hot deal even at £10.49.

Good find - the same have been noted in other stores at that price (so probably national), may be tempted to go looking for some locally, although not sure the kids would appreciate them as 'stocking fillers'!

where did you get chinese version of keyboard for £4
