Kitchen Aid Artisan 4-Slice Toaster £83.98 (del.) @ Nisbets

Obviously every house has a Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer (what colour is yours?)...so to match the mixer that sits in it's pristine condition on your kitchen counter, here's something that may actually get used every day. I guess this is the American icon in the mould of Dualit but I'll leave it to you to decide.

BTW, if you read the JL review of this toaster; I'd discount the one complaining that the cheese melted into the toaster...

Other sites have this between £242-£270 so either this is a great price or I'm comparing crumpets to muffins. BTW, in my opinion, Nisbets have excellent customer service...

if the toaster is costing nr enuf £100.00 wonda how much ur gna spend on da bread !?

I can't seem to find this toaster anywhere else. The ones that are around £270 are slightly different. The controls on these seem to go from side to side? I'm confused about what this model is.

I did notice that...but it seems to be the same model just a different version?

????

Nice looking toaster but a bit expensive.

Is there any special thing this toaster does? Or priced coz of looks??

This isn't the "artisan" toaster. This is the cheaper model, despite the description on the website. Still a decent price for this model though.

Curious. If you zoom in on the image on the website, the badge says "Artisan" below "KitchenAid".

So it Does! Maybe an old model then? I've been pricing the new one up recently ( looks much nicer than this one!) and thats around £240 everywhere.

I am somewhat puzzled why people actually take the time to vote this down...if you think it is expensive for a toaster that's fine; but it is a good quality heavy-duty every-day device from a reputable brand and a reputable retailer. Yes, I appreciate there is some ambiguity regarding the whether it is current or older version but it is still a deal.

This is shown as model 5KTT890BER on Pots and Pans, where it's listed at £195 but out of stock.

say it's a discontinued model.

Amazon state it's 'currently unavailable', with no price, but uk.camelcamel imply the last Amazon price was £169.

It therefore looks like it is indeed a discontinued model. Although I'm not a fan of the KitchenAid look myself, I think a branded product being sold off for half price really should be red hot.

@PeterJD That was my thinking too...but obviously HUKD voters believe in £5 toasters/kettle/irons rather than a product that is well engineered at a discount price. And at least you don't have to go trying to match barcodes or go to obscure locations to snag the last one... HeyHo and thanks for the comprehensive research.
