Nice spot OP! Been on my wish list for a while. 97p is crazy cheap!
Bought this for £4 a year, at this price, tempted to get a spare...
Had this for 5 years, still going strong, at this price a bargain
Can this be used on food too?
Valentine's day sorted.
Sorry, accidentally pressed cold 🙈

Bought 3 of them some time ago to use while frothing milk and I can only say that they were very inaccurate.

Same. I thought I could change it back.

Must be a bad patch you got. Mine is 2 years old now and still working perfectly.

How long is your milk thermometer contract for and are you on the cowgate refresh contract?
Got one, pretty decent, watch for dial steaming up with condensation though
Heated. Same day delivery too. Thanks
I find these thermometers don't keep up with the actual temp. Far easier to use your hand on the side
Just so everyone's clear, this is just a thermometer. It won't heat & froth milk too
After a latte art lesson I agree with @james9 that the recommended hand on the side is better (and less hassle).

And at this extortionate price?
Had one since 2014 for steaming milk. You'll need to stop the heat approx 5 degrees before the desired temperature as the temperature will continue to rise from the point the heat is turned off, it takes a few seconds to catch up.
Misses uses these for her homemade candle and wax melt business. Ordered a few at that price. We had paid £4 for one of these when we setup.
Essential for homebrewing
Got 2.
Thanks OP!
Cheers, just ordered. My other half likes a kitchen thermometer.
Does this add froth to the mill too ?

Kindest regards
any idea where I can get a cheap milk jug for frothing?

Same I paid £4 twice previously for these. Have ordered a couple of spares to keep in the cupboard for when I next drop or break it.
Ordered this to use on my vegan frothy milk. Thanks op! Neat gadget
Had one of these for a while, use it when having a roast - takes the guesswork out of undercooking/overcooking any joint as cooking time guidelines are pretty inaccurate for anything other than well-done 😁
Nice thanks
Thanks! Was after one of these to go with my free coffee machine from homebase (as part of the 4 for 3 appliance deal). Bought a milk jug from IKEA today (the cheapest I could find) and now going to add this to it! Bargain
Heat Added , just what I've always wanted
Or use it if someone in the family is poorly, like they do in Hospital
Used to use these but found it easier to just use feel on the pitcher. Steam until it starts getting too hot to hold and that's always the perfect temp.
Totally unnecessary
