meaning what steve

I think in reference to the pressure your water is inside your home.

some folks have very low water pressure and the pivoting head/spout type of taps are fairly useless as they dont have the ooomph as it would to jet the water out.

At a guess that is.

Are their fittings universal

you would think the window would just open outwards

Where does it say that? (Not being funny just want to read the specs / requirements)

And technically I have a low pressure system but have a mixer tap at the moment that works fine. Do you think this would be OK?

How do you know the sink is inside? There is foliage visible to the left, maybe they have a garden sink.

I have a similar question - I have an Ikea kitchen with a leaking single spout mixer ikea tap - if I buy the Lidl tap, is it just a case of swapping them over, would the Lidl one fit?

If you have a low-pressure system [hot water comes from a hot-water tank] then it will only dribble out of the tap, so do not buy these. Low pressure alternatives are available on-line.
The fittings are USUALLY pretty standard [two small-bore pipes [called "tails"] screwing into the base] BUT the main problem will be trying to screw the pipes out of your IKEA tap and then into this one without disconnecting the tails from your water pipes [and you will have to turn off your hot and cold water and drain the system before you attempt that] as the pipes will not rotate on the fittings to the copper [or plastic] supply pipes to permit you to unscrew them in-situ.
That means you will need to take the tails off completely anyway, so no benefit from trying to use your Ikea ones on these taps. As "connection hoses" are supplied with these taps, then you should have no problem fitting them onto your existing supply pipes [assuming you already have flexible tails fitted and not copper pipe all teh way to the tap].

I have a low-pressure system and tried a Lidl tap a few years ago - didn't work and so re-fitted the old leaky one. I am about to replace the whole sink and tap assembly with a proper ceramic sink and low-pressure tap.

If you have any doubts - don't start.

That's so you can squirt the neighbours cat.

In Germany tilt and turn windows are common - they open inwards.
I've just specced a tilt and turn window in my new utility so will have this exact layout. Really pleased to have stumbled over this as a tap like this is exactly what I need - thanks OP!

Any picked one up and comment on the quality??

I picked up the one with the coil spring.(In Nickel satin)..top class item..I am sure a similar tap will cost more than £150 from B&Q and the likes

Any idea when they are back again? Lidl things usually are aren't they.
I didnt get one & I wish I did.

I just viewed the online leaflet for the 18th, they have a bath tap, but not a kitchen tap.
Do they add more items?
