There are a few KitchenAid mixer models and it's a bit of a minefield to know the differences between them. After spending most of yesterday looking, I concluded that the 125 and 175 are the newer models. The only difference between them is the accessories - the 175 has an extra stainless steel bowl, a pouring shield and a flex edge beater. The RRP for the more expensive 175 model is £599 but John Lewis have it available in two colours (candy apple and iron black) reduced to £399. If you use the code KITCHENAID100, it takes a further £100 off and makes them £299. The condition is that "The offer is only available if the customer agrees to dispose of an old KitchenAid mixer he or she already owns by entering the promotional code, and bringing their mixer to the Electricals department next time they visit a John Lewis store." There appears to be nothing to say that you have to bring something in before a date, so I'm guessing that they're not really looking for you to do this. I've ordered one and it's been despatched with no further questions asked. It comes with a 5 year guarantee.
