KitchenAid 4 Slice Toaster Cream or Red half price @ John Lewis £74.95

Found 19th Dec 2015
Regular price on this is £149, at least at most retailers, next cheapest I could find was £125.10... Introductory offer at John Lewis, where it's half their normal price.

1250w Toaster, 7 heat settings, auto lower/lift, warming rack and it toasts things. Choose either Almond White or Red versions, both available.

Obviously not the cheapest toaster in the world but a good quality product, at a price not available elsewhere.....

Am I missing something, a hit pricey for a toaster...

Red for those that are interested - the 4 slice toaster is cheaper than the 2 slice at the moment

Nope, but there are all kinds of priced cars in the market too.... it's the cheapest I could find for this toaster though....

I wouldn't pay that for a toaster if it had a tv built in

Nice toaster. Happy to spend more on a well used item. Got Sage Heston toaster with press buttons and love its little bit more button. Heat added.

Their next model up is £269.99 oO

Yes, it really is

I do agree, it's an expensive toaster but it is cheap for this particular manufacturer, for this model......

If only the kettle was in the Sale too!

I wont pretend to know loads about toasters, and manufactures. But it just seems ridiculous rrp to start. Even at the reduce price (apparently), it's still mouth watering. You could buy at least 2, maybe 3 high end more commonly know manufactures than this. Which, I believe will offer as equally good results, if not better.

I had this delivered last week, nice toaster. Says 5 year warranty too on John Lewis website. Push button rise is cool

Plus it has a bagel function allowing only on side to the toasted so the inside of the bagel remains fluffy

Heat added, you get what you pay for. I agree it's a lot of cash for a toaster, but if it's as good as there other products then you cannot go wrong.
Could be very tempted at this price, I have other KitchenAid products.

I need a new toaster, bought it. thanks

No problem dimuc, glad someone found it of use. Thanks samani - although the John Lewis website has the "5 year guarantee" label on the product when you look at the details, the description says 2, so not sure which it is or what John Lewis normally do in that situation....

The two year reference is under additional services so if it came to it, I would argue that it's a 5+ possible 2 more. Saved a screenshot for future reference in case I need it as also went for it. The Mrs now has a fuller Kitchenaid set (mixer, processor, kettle and now this - rest are Artisan but no way shes getting a toaster for £270!).

Thanks OP.

Most people look to Dualit when considering expensive toasters because of their track record and repairable nature

Good find, thanks op. Kitchenaid products r built to last

I agree - unfortunately some people just see "expensive toaster". I'm glad that for those who have invested in KitchenAid products, which I've found to be excellent (and have been used in our home, by a professional chef), the deal was of use.

It's not a brand you see everywhere, so some will dismiss them but KitchenAid product pro-grade equipment and have been in the Kitchen Appliance market (and a leader in the US) for over 95 years.....

My parents have an old dualit toaster, every couple of years something breaks on it but parts are so easily bought, and easy to fit, that it's great. I love that it's not a throwaway item and actually I can imagine that it will still on the go in 30 years time!
