This is the larger bowl-lift KitchenAid with the 6L glass bowl. RRP is £779.
Yes it's expensive. Yes you can probably buy a Kenwood for less.

I'm a professionally trained baker, I have the similar 6.9L KitchenAid as my home mixer. Never had an issue with mine, I think this represents good value. This obviously isn't for someone who wants to make a dozen cupcakes once in a blue moon.

This is the cheapest I've found this mixer eCookshop for £499
HartsofStur have it for £623 which includes an Arthur Price knife set and the KitchenAid pasta roller attachments.

This model seems to be hard to find now so I suspect it may be being discontinued? For comparison the new tilt head Artisan mixers with the 4.8L bowls are £549. You're getting a larger bowl with a more powerful motor for less.

The 6L mixer features all metal gears unlike the small tilt-head mixers so it's more hardwearing. It also has a direct drive motor which in my opinion makes it a lot quieter than mixers such as the kMix (I've owned both).

Thank you for this valuable input.
Good price for this. Should be hot but as usual most people don't know the value of things on here. Post some store specific reduced strawberries at Tesco and you'll get at least 300 heat.

KitchenAid is the equivalent of Apple. People absolutely loathe it on here and think the alternative is Kenwood/some awful generic brand.
At the end of the day it's a £280 saving on something that is rarely on sale.
Heat , ive had mine for 4 years use it lots , never a problem , the best of mixers!
Waitrose kitchen had this for £300 on clearance last month. ( i know no one has a time machine)
Heat added, good price for this brand and priduct
Everyone seems to hate Kitchenaid except the owners, who tend to love them.
Heat added for the best current deal.
Heated for deal but ecookshop mostly send displayed item or returned by customers, i had a bad experience ordered kitchenaid and return that ,they send the replacement same problem it was scratched and not in good condition.then go with john lewis and from last 2 years using that no issues at all..i love my kitchenaid .. i owned kmix i really dont like it as after some uses glass bowl stuck in machine..lol

Yeah I've had and used the kMix, it's really loud in comparison to the KitchenAid and its nowhere near as powerful.
